Phil's POV

It was around 6:30 p.m. when I heard someone knocking at Joel's door, so I got up from my bed and went to open it

As I was going to open the door I thought

'Who is it? Ellie?'

I opened the door and saw Maria, she looked surprised as she saw me in Joel's house

"Weren't you with Ellie?" She asked

"Uhm- I was. Why don't you come inside Maria?" I replied

"Oh thanks Phil, is Joel awake?" She said

"Uh- I don't know, I just got up as I heard you knocking at the door" I said

We went to the kitchen and then Joel woke up and joined us there in the kitchen making coffee.

"Do you guys want some?" He asked

"No thanks" Maria replied

"What about you Phil?"

"Yeah thanks Joel" I said

While me and Joel were drinking our coffee Maria told us about a patrol to do, so we got dressed and ready to go.

We got out of Joel's house and we headed towards the stables with Maria, there was Tommy with our horses ready. Once arrived, Maria explained us the objective of the patrol

"You guys have to go up to the ski track, they have reported to us the presence of some infected, you just have to take them out and come back okay?"

"Yeah that's ok" Joel said

"Copy" I replied

"Alright, let's go and get them" Tommy said while handing us some guns and ammo

We then took the horses and we went out heading to the ski tracks

Ellie's POV

--- 30 minutes later ---

I heard a knock on the door and got up from my bed, I still had Phil's diary with me and it was like he was still there with me. The knock on the door became louder and louder as I said

"I'M UP, I'M UP"

I headed to open the door thinking

'Who is it? Is that Phil?'

I opened the door and saw Jesse

"Good morning Jesse"

"Good morning Ellie"

He looked inside and then said

"Heard that you had quite of a night after I left?" He was talking about last nights party

"She kissed me. It was Dina being Dina, she didn't mean anything by it"

"I'm talking of your fight with Seth- Wait- Did you kiss Dina?" He asked

"Oh- I-"

"We break up and you make a move on my girl?" He said

"What? No- No she was just drunk- She was just trying to make you jealous- I would never- Oh fuck this is awkward!" I replied

"Ha-ha I'm fucking with you, I don't care about it. Go get dressed" He said

"You're the worst!" I slammed the door but Jesse caught it

"Do you know if Joel's awake?" I asked

"Maria sent him, Phil and Tommy on patrol like 40 minutes before" He replied
