Sonic was curled up on the floor hugging his stomach, his body shivering from the cold floor, he was just whimpering, in his sleep.

The ebony hedgehog, shakes his body after his limbs retracted back into his body making him look like a normal mobian, minus the third eye on his forehead. His ear twitches when heard Sonic whimpering, he goes over to see if he was okay, he reaches a hand out to touch the blue hedgehog and felt his body, he just blinks and curls himself around the blue hedgehog, to keep him warm.

Sonic sniffs, and his body started to feel warm, and he eventually stopped shivering.

"This is interesting..." A Scientist said looking at footage of the cell that the two mobians were in. "Do you think that he chose him...because of reputation?"

The female Scientist "Hmm...It could be possible, Subject Eight, is a Hermaphrodite, so he is able to have kids" she said. "But Hedgehog's Heat Cycle isn't under a month from now"

"But I believe this is just him looking for someone to be his queen" The Other Scientist said.

"We should just keep an eye on them..." The Scientist nodded.

Sonic stirs in his sleep his eyes slowly fluttering open, he body felt warm, he looked to see something black and red, and he backs away from Shadow, causing the dominant male to open his eyes as he looked to see Sonic was backing away from him, to only stop and yelp cause of his stomach slowly eating itself cause of the lack of the food.

Shadow goes up to him, "Are you hungry? My Queen"

Sonic blinks at the nickname, "I...I'm not your queen...I don't even know you..." Sonic protested.

"Ah...Will I'm Shadow, and you are?"

"S-Sonic..." Sonic responded, the food slot opened and a tray of food was pushed into the cell along with a dog bowl of water.

Sonic tries to move but his body was to weak to support his weight and he just sat there, his stomach growling causing the azure male pain. Shadow took notices a this and goes over to the pick up the tray and brings it over to his cellmate, he picks up the bowl of food for Sonic.

The food wasn't really appealing, but at this point Sonic was starving to the point that he would eat anything so he just opens his mouth, and lets Shadow feed him, the slop was disgusting, but it was better than being forced feed raw eggs, from a feeding tub, it was enough for two people but Sonic ended up finishing the full bowl, Shadow moves the put the empty bowl on the tray than grabs the water bowl, he holds it for Sonic.

The azure male started to lick up the water, it wasn't very clean water, but it was water none of the less. When he was finished Shadow put the bowl down.

"What happened to your...Tentacles?" Sonic asked.

"I don't need them...they only come out if I feel threatened, but with you...I'd feel threaten" Shadow answered, Sonic nodded.

"What are you anyways? I never seen a Mobian like you before" Sonic explained.

"I'm not a mobian, I am half mobian" Shadow explained, "My DNA came from a group of aliens the are called Black Arms"

"So your a test tub baby?" Sonic asked.

Shadow blinks but lets out a small chuckle at Sonic's immature mind. "More like a Science Project...for someone who is nineteen you have the mind set of an eight year old"

Sonic flattened his ears, and looks down at his scarred hands...he was kidnapped at the age of eight, after running away from his parents cause they were arguing and it was to much from the young hedgehog to handle, then G.U.N forces attacked. "I assuming that they captured you when were only at the age?"

Sonic nodded, as he felt tears in his eyes. "I've tried...so hard to escape...but I just end up failing...I don't even know if my parents...are still out there" Sonic sniffs.

Shadow just pulls the blue hedgehog into his chest, to hug him. "Well...I'm going to protect you from...the Soldiers..." he said.

Sonic felt warm in Shadow's arms it was a little fluffy and scalely but it was comfortable than sleeping on the concrete floor, found himself falling asleep again, the hedgehog been through a lot to the point that the hedgehog's body was nothing but skin and bones...covered in deep scars from the brutal torturing, and bruises from being roughly handle, and his the pads on his paws were red, and covered in deep cuts and dried blood from him being forced to run. Shadow can tell that G.U.N was mistreating Sonic, to the point that they were just hoping that the hedgehog would just starve to death, but didn't end up working, but he was going to keep his Queen alive...and healthy, even if that means harming the scientists to do so. The halfbreed heard a noise that he never heard before from Sonic, that being the sound of Sonic purring, it was relaxing and soothing, he just holds Sonic close and smiles, to himself.
