wasn't that so fun?
we got you all attached
and now its just all... done.
we didn't want there to be a conclusion
but we knew it'd soon be here.
We counted all the pages
as the end drew ever near.
You gave your feelings to the characters;
They made you happy, they made you sad.
they filled you full of wonder,
And at times, they made you mad.
but it's goodbye to your favorites,
it's goodbye to the crew.
It's time to put away the scenes,
but it won't be over for you.
you're stuck still believing
wondering where it's all gone,
how the time and words all slipped away,
and you don't want to move on.
even past the last words,
you'll remember in heart and soul.
you'll remember when they had hardships,
and when they finally reached their goal.
you'll still laugh at the puns and jokes,
and you'll cry and you'll cry and you'll cry
As you relive those crippling moments
when a favorite character dies.
whether it's a show, movie, or book,
Or anything in between.
you'll never forget their story:
that'd just be obscene.
You'll quietly accept it:
now the story's just in your head.
You'll think of all the ones who lived,
and the ones who ended dead.
I know it will be hard,
like abandoning a best friend,
but you must know one thing,
no story ever truly ends.
