Fey

Dancing, dancing,

Through the night.

Stopping only

At first light.

Pointed ears,

Sparkly wings,

The beautifulest voice,

If you hear them sing.

Too quick for you,

Too quick for me,

And unless they want it,

They’re impossible to see.

Playing a game of tag,

Zooming through the air.

Yet to the eye of humans,

They’re never really there.

With secret, bejeweled worlds,

Full of happiness and light,

It’s never been known

For them to break out in a fight.

With gladness in their smiles,

And mischief in their eyes,

If they chose to pick on you,

You’re in for a surprise!
