pike

Swimming in deep waters

Occasionally lifting his head.

Looking for wiggly squirmies,

So he can eat them dead.

Fingers and stray toes,

worms and fishies too,

Make sure he’s not found

Anywhere near you.

Either take a large-ish boat,

Or take a fresh-air hike,

If you’re going on a lake,

Beware of fish called pike.
