(The following four poems are school oriented)

Grades

Grades roll around and what do you know?

Teachers all say ''how can you grow?''

Let me tell you one thing, yes, I dare,

Great roll around and oh! I don't care.

School

School is good? I beg to differ.

They say we should be learning, but eh, it's a blur.

Studies have shown this environment leads to stress.

That it's bad and unhealthy, and here I digress.

Kids don't like this, if you thibk otherwise, you're wrong.

I think this has been going on for far too long.

So if you really care about the children that you teach,

Don't just write this off as teenager's cheek.

Suicide

'Grades are the thing that decides an individual's worth'

It's phrases like these that send us six feet under earth.

Because the stress gets too much, we start to look for an escape,

Slit wrists, rope, a bridge, isn't it great?

And everyone's sad, they all just wonder why.

Because they didn't look hard enough, they didn't see them cry.

A coward's escape?  You couldn't be more wrong.

You drove them to take their life, made them feel they didn't belong.

Whose fault is it now? Who drove them to defeat?

Sad words cannot fix things. Sorry is obsolete.

Dumb

I'm writing all these angry poems cuz I think school is dumb

There are as many reasons as there are cells on my thumb

And I think it's kind of sad how it makes us kids stress out

But you know the worst part is we're not quite sure what about

Teachers always make grades the trophies on our shelf

We're taught we shouldn't care about our morals or our health

We're talking physical mental emotional all of it is there

We've been taught as we get older that we're not supposed to care

So don't get all indignant that we cheated on your test

You taught that its ok our grades have to be the best

So don't try and tell us that school is great

You had your chance to prove yourself and now it's much too late.
