I had always told you
how I wanted to walk
because I seen you do it
there were many of these talks
sometimes you take me with you
and I always had such fun
but I could never use my legs
I could never walk or run
I guess you understood
sometimes say "I've been there "
you must have looked into getting me legs
I guess you really cared
you then gave me the power
to walk all on my own
it was even better
than I had ever known
I found you there broken
now unable to run
you gave me your power
now it's not as fun
