From what I've heard from the Sodorian News Station, there will be a shooting star event here in Sodor and Sir Topham Hatt had met me,

"Hello Gilbert, today you are gonna take Gordon on an express as usual. Expect a rise in passengers however due to the shooting star event happening later this evening." said Sir Topham Hat.

As per usual, I took Gordon for the Express and see more passengers then usual but I continued on with the Express Trip

After a day of hard work, Gordon and several other engines including Gilbert were resting in the Tidmouth Shed when they were approached by Sir Topham Hat.

"Because of your splendid work, all of you will be getting a day off to enjoy the Shooting Star event. Have fun." said Sir Topham Hatt.

Shortly after Sir Topham Hat had left from the view.  James spoke.

"Finally, a long deserved rest for a splendid red engine like me and I get to see the shooting star in the comfort of my sheds." said James boastedly.

"You know you are not the only one that deserved the rest for the hard work little James." said Gordon in response to James.

"Well... Uhh, Atleast I am not a galloping sausage like y-" Before James could finish his sentence, Sir Topham Hatt had come back to the shed.

"Well seems like one of you engine will have to be taking the supply goods to the town for this evening event."

Sir Topham Hatt then turns his head to James the Splendid Red Engine.

"James, you will be taking it to the town" said Sir Topham Hatt to James.

"WHAT? " said James shockingly

"B- But. I.. I thought I had a day off after my splendid work of pulling trucks! I should atleast deserve a long rest!" continued James.

"Useful engines do not argue." answered Sir Topham Hatt.

And with that, Sir Topham Hatt had left in his red car while James grumpily puff into the turntable and head to the siding where the supply goods is resting in. James hears Gordon laughing in the sheds

"Now whos the one getting the deserved rest now?" said Gordon as he laughed.

"You won't be seeing that one-in-a-lifetime purple shooting star!" continued Gordon while James could only puff away into the siding where the goods are at.

"Arghh, why do I have to take the supply goods? Why couldn't other engines get it like why not Henry?" said James grumpily.

"Now, now James. I know you wanted to see that shooting star this evening but maybe if we finish it on time. We could see it together, James." answered the driver.

"Fine." James reluctantly said.

As James pull into the siding and hook up to the troublesome trucks, there was Thomas right besides him pulling in branchline coaches after the days work.

"Hello James." whistled Thomas.

"Oh, hello Thomas." whistled back James.

"Why are you acting so grumpy today and what are you doing here? I thought you were done pulling trucks today? Weren't you looking forward for the shooting star?" asked Thomas to James.

"Well it's because Thomas, the Fat Controller decided to give me one more job to get the supply goods to its destination." said James crossly.

"Oh, uh I hope you finish it in time to see the shooting star with us in the sheds." said Thomas.

After the conversation, James puff away from the siding and sets to get the supply goods to the town.
