narrator pov:

Y/n Kujikawa, daughter of Rise kujikawa just recently moved to the village hidden in the leaves, despite moving here with her mother y/n was all alone now, somehow within the 2 weeks her mom got them moved in, they had one last dinner, she went on a mission, and never returned. all y/n knew was that she was "in a better place and payed her dues to the leaf" and that every thursday since then she has to meet Lord third hokage, Danzo, & the elders to make sure she's not having any "homicidal thoughts" on the village.

but today wasn't one of those horrible wanna-be therapy days, it was monday and y/n was starting her first day at the ninja academy. even though she's joining so late in the year,

while getting ready for her first day at the ninja academy y/n was fighting tears the whole time, she kept on telling herself

"it's ok y/n, your so totally cool and everyone's gonna love you because your so cute and amazing " she says to herself, somehow thinking if she says it out loud she'll believe it.

on her walk to the academy y/n broke down approximately 3 times before ultimately getting tired and just gave up on trying to soothe herself right at the entrance of her class.

"remember y/n your so totally that bitch and if people hate you it's not your fault" she says before knocking on the class door mumbling out the single cuss word "fuck"

meanwhile inside the classroom

"class i almost forgot to mention we're having a new student join us in class today" a tall brunette man y/n will soon know as 'iruka sensei' says to his rowdy class immediately catching their attention

"there's only 2 months left, what idiot joins the ninja academy so late in the year" another brunette says, this one much younger than iruka and with a tiny white dog on his head.

"there's nothing idiotic about changing locations kiba, now i hope you all will be nice and welcoming to our new student when they get here."

*knock knock*

"that must be the student, remember be nice guys, no bullying!!" iruka reminds the class before opening the door.

1st pov:

when the man i assume is my teacher opens the door he gives me a welcoming smile, he has a nice smile, it helps ease my anxiousness

'ok maybe this won't be too bad, be positive y/n!' i think to myself

"well you must be y/n kujikawa our new student, it's a pleasure to meet you, i'm iruka and i'll be your teacher for the year, would you mind introducing yourself to the class" iruka says to me with a warm contagious smile that i return to him

"it's nice to meet you too mr.iruka sensei" i say walking to the front of the class with a bright smile. it's crazy how one nice interaction can change everything.

"is she stupid or something? it's just sensei, nobody says 'mr.sensei'" i hear some random kid whisper immediately ruining all hope i had for a nice time in this new place

"i didn't know" i mumble to myself before shaking my head, my feelings are hurt but i can't be weak, this is literally the ninja academy i need to toughen up.

" well go ahead and introduce yourself to the class y/n" iruka-sensei urges me on

"oh right" i laugh awkwardly
" my name is y/n kujikawa, and i hope to get along with you all" i say with my bestest smile, mom and dad always said i had a nice smile, i can only hope they told me the truth and didn't just say that cause i'm their child.
