"Urgh, I hate this"

Chan breathed in and out heavily
as he rested his forehead on his arms,
closing his eyes to focus on the pain
building up in his lower back
and belly.

He didn't care about how he looked
at that moment, he didn't care that
he knelt on the bed with his butt in
the air and that only in sweatpants.

In fact nobody could blame him
for trying to find the best possible
position and clothing to endure the
painful and exhausting labor process.

"Channie love, the bath is ready.
Do you want to drink something
first though?"

Felix appeared in the doorway,
a frown on his face hearing those
soft whimpers.

"Y-yeah, just…
Give me a minute"

The ravenette whined as
he palmed his baby bump,
feeling his muscles tense
under his touch.

"Of course, princess.
I'll go prepare something."

Although Chan had done a lot of
research (just like Felix, secretly),
he still felt like he wasn't prepared
at all for everything he was
experiencing right now and
for what was yet to come.

Yeah, watching breathing
techniques and different body
exercises to help labor was fun
but the real deal wasn't fun,
not at all.

The first contractions had started
late at night the day prior in
combination with a not very
happy baby so Chan hadn't
even been able to rest well
between the contractions.

There was simply no way to
fall asleep when you had a
full-term little human wriggle
around in your belly to complain
about the uncomfortable feeling.

So Felix was more than happy
that his boyfriend had managed
to at least sleep a bit after breakfast
while the freckled boy had sung the
little baby (and their mommy)
to sleep.

But now it was around four in
the afternoon and Chan was really
fighting with these contractions.

"There you go,
you're doing so good"

The pink-haired boy held the
straw up to his boyfriend's lips
and helped him drink some iced
water when the pain had
finally ebbed away.

"How far are they apart now?"

"Around twenty minutes I guess.."

"But your water still didn't break?"

Chan shook his head softly as
he sat up, a heavy sigh escaping
him when his baby shifted a
little uncomfortably.
