Chapter 4

Magic beams and light were blasting everywhere as six witches and monster hunter were battling each other on edges of Glimmer Grove

Katherine helped as much as she could, getting rid of the small monsters and golems while Shelby covered her from spells and attacks from the three witches, Maddie and Glinda attacked the rest of the council members

Shelby hid Tortiose somewhere safe in Katherine's kingdom cause she didn't want to risk her familiar getting hurt, even with his enchanted magic

The fight was really quiet with occasional "watch out" or "don't worry I got your back" from Katherine or Shelby directed towards each other

They were pretty synchronised too. And they were holding up to the golems well enough that they landed quite a few hits on the council witches.

Soon enough the old witches were tired so Darcy was defeated and Glinda convinced Gwendaly that Amelia is wrong and is only doing everything so she can take all the credit and stay the head witch.

After a while Glinda got tired as well; Now it was olny Shelby and Katherine left fighting Amelia.

As Amelia was blasting spells Katherine blocked them while Shelby attacked, occasionally attacking golems.

As Katherine was distracted by tripping on a rock. A bright ray of magic getting closer in her sight, she gasped in realisation that she dropped her axe before tripping, there was no way of defending herself; She was going to get hit by probably one of the strongest spells ever.

Everything moved so slow for her, until she saw a young witch running in front of her with her wand.

Shelby stood there in front of Katherine, firing a spell almost as strong as Amelia's. Even though she had lots of small cuts and bruises, while her clothes and hair looked like a incomplete mess without her signature hat; With all kinds of greens and cyans being visible in the spell generating enough light to iluminate the whole cursed part of Glimmer Grove, Katherine was nothing less then stunned and impressed, she only snapped back to reality when Shelby told her " Katherine you gotta move away" struggling to keep up the spell

Katherine did as Shelby told her. And in no time blinding sphere of light formed.

The spell explosion left both witches on the ground.

Amelia was tired, sitting on the ground defeated, her wand broken and shattered in pieces; But so was Shelby's. The young witches's arm was burned 'till little bit lower than her elbow, she was lying on the ground not doing well.

"Shelby!" yelled Katherine dropping a few tears as she was running to help her witch friend.

"I'm alright... Just a bit bruised" said Shelby as Katherine crouched down and took her in her arms.

Katherine smiled a little, still worried but relieved that Shelby's mostly alright. They both giggled a little as they saw a toad jumping towards them carrying witch's hat "Awww Tortiose, thank you" said Shelby as the little toad jumped on her.

But the sweet moment stopped when they saw the older witch they fought get up, bending a little and holding her not as damaged arm. But luckily grandma Glinda came to them

"Go help my granddaughter, I'll deal with Amelia" said the old witch to Katherine.

Katherine scooped Shelby and Tortiose, when Shelby got her hat but instead of putting it on her head she put it on Katherine's

"My head hurts a little, mind carrying that for me for a little while?" Said the witch with a fainth blush, probably from the tought of Katherine carrying her and thinking of how strong she is, and with the whole situation that happened made Katherine blush as well" Of course not "
