His pov

Her body continues to tremble in fear, she keeps her eyes tightly shut as I coat her bruises with the cream,

She has so many of them...that I don't know where the new start and the old stop, I'm not even completed with her whole body yet and I've already used almost half the container of cream,

"Do you want me to get a girl to put the cream everywhere else? I'm sure I can get my mom to come here if you feel uncomfortable with me continuing on any further" I say finishing her legs and part of her upper arms

She shakes her head and barely whispers "no"

"Okay...I'm going to take your dress off so I can put the cream on easier, is that okay?" I ask, and I get a nod once again and a barely-there whispered "yes"

I help her slowly sit up, and then I carefully Unzip her dress, keeping the curse words that almost escape as I take in her badly injured body, I begin to work on her back,

She truly wasn't lying when she said there were bruises everywhere,

I slip the dress fully off and take in a deep breath as I look at her stomach, the bruises on her rib area are almost purple, black

I gently go over her ribs with the cream and she cries in pain "sorry" I whisper as I tightly shut my eyes for a second.

She shakes her head repeatedly making me stop,

"They're probably broken...so it's not your fault" she mutters

"I'm going to wrap them up, after I do my best to carefully put the cream on, okay?" I say just before I attempt to as carefully as I can apply it on her skin

After about another hour of just coating her skin with the cream and then wrapping her ribs, I go into my closet and grab a hoodie,

"Can you sit up?" I ask sitting on the edge of the bed, she's almost in tears at this point,

"Are you okay?" I ask, but immediately regret it because how could she possibly be okay after everything she and her body has gone through,

"What if they find me?" she barely whispers after I help her sit up,

I gently put the hoodie on her,

"They won't—not if I have anything to do with it" I caress her cheek, moving her face slightly so she's looking at me

"Thank you...for helping" she whispers

I nod "are you hungry?"

She shakes her head making me sigh "it's been hours I'm sure you have to be even a little bit hungry"

                                  | hours later |

After getting her to eat a light meal, she goes back to sleep, but not even thirty minutes go by until I hear her screaming,

I quickly make my way into my bedroom, "hey, wake up" I gently move her hair out of her face,

She gasps and clutches my arm as she wakes from her nightmare,

"You're safe" I remind her as my hand goes through her hair,

She shifts closer to me, trembling as she looks around,

"Can—can you lay next to me?" She asks barely audible

I slide onto the bed carefully, as she continues to clutch my arm in fear as she shakes,

"I'm scared to sleep" she starts

My hand gently goes through her hair to calm her down,

As I patiently wait for her to decide if she wants to continue to tell me the snippet of her life that she's about to share.
