Epilogue
Four years later

After getting our daughter to bed, I make my way to h/n's and my room,

I'm Exhausted, and so ready to get into bed.

Getting inside I'm met with my husband in bed, with a trey of snacks, some drinks, and fluffy blankets,

"What's all this?" I ask with a gentle smile, even with knowing what he does every week

"We're going to have a little date" he grins pulling me down into his lap, leaving a kiss on my lips when I'm close enough,

My heart melts, and a smile takes over my face "Why?"

"Why do I need a reason to want to spend quality time with my wife?" His words have me grinning against his lips,

I give him a long kiss, whispering I love yous in between them, "You're so sweet, thank you"

He hums, leaving one more kiss on my lips, then on my jaw before pulling away,

"What movie do you want to watch?" He asks, gently running his fingers through my hair,

I hum at the sensation, "let's watch how to lose a guy in ten days"

He chuckles "Okay, let me put it on"

While he searches it up on the Tv, I put my head in the crook of his neck, breathing in his musky vanilla smell,

As I hear the movie begin to play, I turn around so I'm on his lap, he nuzzles his face into my neck, kissing me there a few times.

I grab some popcorn and sigh in contentment in his hold.

Remembering when all we were years ago was an arrangement, and then I got sick, and it somehow brought us together.

I remember waking up the next morning, in his arms, and we just laid there and talked, telling each other our truths, and then he'd asked me out on a date,

I thought it was funny since we were already married, but he'd take me on a date every week, and still does to this day...

Even if it has to be in our home now since our daughter is too young to have a babysitter.

"I love you" I whisper turning my head to the side, he smiles kissing my cheek,

"I love you, sweetheart, so much," he says putting his arms around me to pull me closer,

And as we lay there, eating snacks, and watching my favorite chick flicks, I can't help but have a grin plastered on my face.
