"You disgrace of a daughter how dare you" Mother shouts ring throughout the courtroom as they place handcuffs on her,

I won.

"You won't, get away with this" father sneers looking at me in disgust,

I won.

I did it...

"Keep quiet you're making this worse for yourselves" their lawyer stresses

"How is there something worse than getting a prison sentence of thirty-plus years" mother exclaims in anger

I'm free...I won.

"We should've killed you last year...like we planned" father mumbles quietly,

But people still hear...

My layer, their lawyer, the judge's mouth opens slightly just before she calls them back to the stand

Half an hour later...they both get life in prison.

They'll never touch me again...I won't feel the pain of their touch on my skin,

Screams ringing in my ears in the cell I had to call a home...the very home they'll have for the rest of their lives.

There practically dragged out of the room in cuffs,

Both were bright red in embarrassment and anger.

It's over...we won the trial,

Warm, big hands snake around my waist, pulling me to a hard and even warmer chest,

"You won beautiful" I hear his whisper, a smile evident in his voice,

I turn around and cup his face, my tears running free as I look at him,

Tears of exhaustion, tears of pure and utter happiness that I'm finally free from them now,

Tears of relief.

Lips..warm lips graze my own and I immediately take the final step to connect them,

I thread my fingers through h/n's hair as we kiss, in the middle of the courtroom,

A big smile spreads across my face as we slightly pull away,

His fingers trace my smile as he watches me with complete and utter fondness, proudness, and joy

"I'm going to make sure you're always smiling this big" he whispered, just before sealing that promise with another kiss.
