Once upon a time, there were two feuding kingdoms. The kingdom of Magnolia was ruled by King Makarov. He was loved by his entire kingdom and everyone in it. The other kingdom was a different story. The kingdom of Fior was ruled by King Ivan. He was King Makarov's son and was known only as a cruel man. After his wife died, Ivan went mad and left Magnolia, blaming his father for his misfortunes. He went to Fior, where he soon became ruler since the land had been in chaos and the people were desperate for order. The land of Fior was a land of demons. There were barley any people there, but the demons gladly fought for Ivan. Back in Magnolia, Ivan had left his two children, Laxus and Laxus's adopted younger sister Levy. The two children had been raised by their grandfather and had become strong adults. But Ivan was so bent on destroying his father that one night, he sent two demons to kidnap his daughter, for she had a very extraordinary gift. Levy was known as the Knowlwdge Theif. She had magic that allowed her to use the knowledge found in her books, and turn that knowledge into a weapon against her enemies. Makarov knew that he had to keep her safe, but the demons succeeded in their mission and Levy was trapped in the demon world of Fior. Here is where our story begins
