Once little Enola was in bed, Doria and I went to the field.
"Look there's Orin" I point out
"And the great square of Pegasus" she smiles
I pointed out the Andromeda galaxy and then she just looked at me.
"What?"
"You've been studying"
"Just for you"
"Thank you"
"For what love"
"Everything"
We got lost in each other's eyes until a voice sounded.
"Mommy" Enola yelled
"I'm over here with mama" she yelled back
She ran over and tackled Doria.
"What's wrong baby"
"Sherlock's home" she says
Doria and I look at each other in disbelief.
"Mother?" A masculine voice yelled
She gave me Enola and ran in the direction of the voice.
"Come on baby back to bed"
"Ok mama" she mumbled
We walked back to see my wife bear hugging our son. I put Enola back in bed making sure she fell asleep and went back.
"Mama" he smiled
"Lock" I smile back
He wrapped me in a hug.
"I missed you"
"I missed you to mama"
"Y/n?"
"Yes Doria"
"Can you come here" she kinda mumbled.
This wasn't my strong, confident Eudoria. This one was small, weak and scared?
"What's wrong love?"
"Ummm...."
"Take your time"
"M-mycroft"
That was all I needed to hear to understand. I wrapped her collapsing form in my arms.
"I'm sorry love"
"My boy i-is gone"
I sat us on the floor where I held the shaking form of my wife.
"I've got you,let it all out"
I placed soft kisses on her head trying to calm her. After about an hour I could no longer hear her sobs and looked down. She was asleep and at peace more or less.
"Sweet dreams love" I whisper into her hair
