Leo's POV

I walked through the interconnecting rooms towards Kenna's room, sporting a black T-shirt with jeans. Nothing impressive. Today is Tuesday which meant we were meeting up with the singer who was hired to sing a song for my film.

"Rise and shine" I nodded as Kenna finally walked out of her bathroom. Her wearing her usual parachute pants and baby tee. Her face packed up with makeup and her hair curled. I thought we were over this... not like she didn't look hot as ever but I really did want her to be comfortable in her own skin

"I can't believe this is happening today. What if my voice cracks or something" she said as she started biting her nails. I took her hand. She immediately took it back.

When we left set the other day she's been a little distant, I supposed she was taking this whole best friend thing more seriously, every time we touched she'd be so quick to avoid it. It killed me, it made me want it more

"You'll be fine just chill" she nodded unconvincingly. I feel like anything I anything I say was not going to change her mind.

We rocked up to the hotel room. Meeting up with des'ree. This time I just lingered behind as Kenna and her talked. I didn't want to interrupt her

"There's a studio down the road, we can head there now" I heard des'ree suggest. Kenna looked back at me as if she was asking me if was if it was ok. of course I nodded back.

"Cool, I'll meet you guys down there" she called out. Both me and Kenna walking out to my car.

"I didn't think we'd be going to a studio" Kenna said worriedly as I began to drive

"It's fine Kenna, probably would be good to get a feel of it"

"I haven't sung in front of anyone but Marissa though Leo, what if I'm not as great as I think I am. Then I've just made a fool of myself in front a well known singer" her rambling caused me to shake my head. I slipped my hand on her thigh out of habit. This time she didn't seem to care, she seemed to calm down

"Kenna trust me when I say this, you have a very beautiful voice you'll do good" she gave me a soft smile.

"and how would you know if I have a good voice?"

"It's hard not too when all you do is sing while you're doing things around the house" I mumbled

We got to the studio and hopped out of the car.

"You ready?" I say cheerfully

"No" she said as she clung onto my arm. It sent a warm feeling through my body knowing she came to me for comfort

"You'll do great Kenna, I'll be right here" I say as I swiftly moved her arm down to hold her hand. Man I've been wanting this for so long. I'm surprised she hasn't moved away yet...maybe it's the nerves.

We walked in and got embraced with des'ree and a couple of men.

"You've made it! This is Neale he's a talent scout, and this is Matt he does all the technical stuff" des'ree introduced us to the men. I forgot that Kenna and I were holding hands, up until she squeezed it so tight at the mention of talent scout. It must be a real deal for her.

"Neale, Matt this is-"

"Leonardo DiCaprio, pleasure to meet you" Neale cut in and took my hand, giving me a strong shake. Matt doing the same
