Kaliyapani died in a motorcycle accident on January 3, 2019.
It was foggy, the pavement was wet, and he drove faster than needed. He didn't see the truck pull in front of him until it was too late.
Just a few days before the accident he told a friend, "I'm very satisfied with my life right now. I've got meaningful friendships and a genuine taste for chanting."
That same year, Dravinaksha got cancer. There was a sudden transformation, from good health to bedridden, to death. The Alachua Krishna community assisted him through his final transition in every way, especially with friends sitting by his bedside reading and singing kirtans.
