Chapter 7: Monkey King

2nd pov,

Mk huffed and puffed his cheeks, trying to catch his breath and heavily groaning. His shaky legs stepped into the cave with the arm hanging down his shoulders "Monkey King! Uh- I'm here! For another- training" he breathless said before dropping himself to the ground in exhaustion

A bird flew up into the air, making some cool tricks around and shifting become his real form. Monkey King landed on the ground with his knees with his bright smile across his face "Kid! There you are, I've been waiting for you for hours!" He said crossing his arm and watching as Mk slowly get up from the ground

"Ugh, I forgot to set my alarm again! I even can't find my other sock that time and-" he stopped when Monkey king only laugh "it's okay kid, better to be late than be dead on time. Now, let's get started with our first training today-"

Suddenly Monkey King halted from walking any further. His golden eyes widen slightly, his tail twitching every second, he begins to sniff around the air and look everywhere to find that weird smell earlier.

Mk looks at him in genuine concern, thinking if there something serious happen, and turns out he was right "What's wrong?" He sounded worried

Monkey King didn't answer but instead, keep sniffing and eventually stopped when he notice where its come from. Rapidly with a flash, he grabs Mk's jacket to search for the thing "Monkey king what are you doing-" "Ah, that's where the weird smell comes from" he cut him from speaking, examining the blue dry liquid on Mk's jacket and slowly narrowing "is this...yours?"

Mk blinked twice, he never saw Monkey king being super serious or nervous at the same time, not in his first encounter.

"No, uh- this was from my friend. I don't know why it is blue but she said not to worry about it-" he didn't finish his sentence when Monkey king grabs his shoulder and shake him rapidly "Who?! Who is she?! What's her name?"

"Ah- uhh Y/n! Her name is y/n- stop shaking me!" He then stopped looking deeply into his eyes and sigh slightly before letting his successor away. He mumbled something under his breath, which Mk didn't hear that clearly "You did another great job kid! Let's go find her" he said, summoning his cloud and hopping into it

"Huh-huh? What- Why do you want to find her?" Mk quickly hops next to the could a hesitate to look at his face. Monkey King bites his lips to prevent giving more information about that stuff but at least he's explained to him a bit

"Have you ever heard the...um the zodiac warrior?"

The cloud zoomed from the Mountain and flew towards the city from distance. Mk covers his vision with his arm attempting to protect himself from the bright sunrise

"Yeah, I do know. Mr Tang sometimes talks about them" he said "I see... Do you know that blue thing on your jacket? Yeah, that was not normal blood. It's uhhhh the warrior blood?"

Mk almost jumped off the cloud with Monkey king's statement, gripping it tightly to make himself stay on his foot, he almost fall to his death "W-what? So you mean y/n is a warrior?" Monkey King hummed "I'll explain about it later, bud. We need to stay focused"

You loudly yawn with your arm on the cheek to support yourself from falling. Your eyes narrowed to the exit door and your mind went into a different world.
