named after me

THE LONG WEEKEND WENT BY MORE SLOWLY than i had imagined; weekends like this one frequently felt like they lasted only ten minutes. ten minutes of break. ten minutes of spending time with your loved ones. old people often say that time passes by faster when you enjoy it, and i've long wondered what would happen if one didn't feel amused, but they also didn't feel unhappy - will time pass by normally? well, that's what i thought off too.

i was wrong.

time went fast whenever i loved it, whenever i enjoyed it. time went slow whenever i was sad, whenever i was bored. when i didn't feel anything, it definitely did not pass by normally, time was extra slower. it felt like a whole month had passed when in reality? it was only four days.

or perhaps it was because of him sneaking into my head?

i sighed, wondering if i had been thinking about that person too much. scaramouche. as i walked toward the institution, i stretched my arm, and a relived pleasure immediately swept through my entire arms. i knew the university was distant from my home, so i made sure to hunt for a house close to the school as soon as the new academic year began. and praise god, i was lucky.

i arrived at the university, and today was one of those days when every student were required to attend an orientation for important announcements which they can easily spread the word using the bulletin board, but i guess universities just like to make everyone suffer. i sat on one of the seats in the gym, a scowl could be noticed on my face. i made an effort to avoid interacting with other students because, for some reason, i didn't feel like socializing today, maybe tomorrow.

the sounds within the gym grew louder as the orientation's start time drew close. the sound of people speaking to one another, the sound of the people checking the mic on stage, and even the loud close and opens of the four large doors circling the gymnasium, all were heard - and it was all irritatingly loud. i couldn't fathom why was i extremely pissed today, maybe it was due to my lack of rest. a very, extremely, exceedingly, dramatic sigh was heard, and of course it was from me.
