AN INAUDIBLE GASP WAS HEARD ACROSS THE ROOM, i never had met such a narcisstic person in my entire life. a dramatic sigh was heard between the four corner of the dorm. "he's such a bitch" yet i enjoyed his presence a lot more than i expected.
"you're loosing your cool, y/n"
my attention averted from my phone to the brunette in the other bed opposite to mine. she wore a light blue pajama and her legs were parted, not hesitating to show her comfortableness in our dorm. she usually wore her pigtails up but right now, her rough hair which she doesn't even bother to brush fell to her waist.
no one could blame her at her lazy gestures, it was midnight after all. although the two of us were blasting different kinds of music at two am. "boy problems? i rarely see you curse in front of others" hu tao teased, her mouth curved into a grin. she was one of the people who knew what i was like — and also one of the person whom i trust the most. and knowing hu tao, she probably got wind of you and scaramouche now. "so, who's the lucky guy?"
"no use in asking if you already know" i simply said, as i grabbed the thick book atop my side table. opening it and finding the last page i've stopped in last time.
the brunette chuckled as she fixed her posture, and leaned in, trying to take a quick glance at my phone which i placed at the side table a minute ago, in replacement to the book i'm currently holding.
"scaramouche huh? didn't know he was your type."
of course, the way she was slowly getting closer to my phone didn't go unnoticable by me. hu tao was an extremely nosy person and everyone around her knew that — especially myself. everyone who isn't her friend had always thought of her as weird and creepy which i could say is quite true, but in a good way. yet all those traits of her was what makes her fun. hu tao was an incredibly loyal friend, and a cool one at that.
i could only shake my head, "i didn't know too."
"so you're admitting that he's your type?" she, once again, grinned at me teasingly. i'm gradually starting to think that i have luck with finding weird people to be friends with.
i kept myself silent as i highlighted the book i was reading, not bothering to answer the curious girl who has been eyeeing me with eyes full of curiosity. "he's pretty famous for his looks, especially in social media. although he's also famous for his rotten personality"
my head turned to hu tao immediately, she had successfully gotten my attention. "do you know all his socials?"
a successful chuckle escaped her mouth as she got her phone, slightlt shaking it beside her face. "how much can you offer?" there it was. hu tao knew everyone, and with that, she also knew a lot of information — although, like she said, business was business.
"are you seriously doing this to me right now? how much do you want?"
"nah, i'm just joking, i'll text it to you" she said with a smile on her face and started typing on her phone, i expected it. hu tao was just that kind of person. business was business, unless you are someone she treasures. i instantly grabbed my phone from my side table when i felt it vibrate.
