Ally

I wake up in a bed that isn’t mine 

I sit up and try to remember what happened 

All i can remember is that man grabbing me

Oh shit

Thats were i am 

He took me 

I lift the covers up and let go of a breathe

“Thank God” i say as i see i still have my clothes on 

I look around the room hoping theres a way out 

I see a window in the corner of the room, i get out the bed and walk towards the window i look down and holy fuck theres no way i’d survive the jump 

I keep staring down at the ground thinking of ways i’d be able to jump and hopefully not die 

I hear the door open and i quickly turn my head in the direction 

I freeze when i see him 

“Good Morning Ally” he says walking to me with water in his hand 

“What the fuck is happening right now, all i remember is getting grabbed by a guy and now im in your house, how the hell did i get here” i say and he comes over to me and hands me the water and a couple pills

“Go sit down Ally and take these i know your head is hurting”

“I’m not taking anything from you, i don’t know if you’re trying to drug me and kill me or if you’re actually trying to help me, i don’t even know your name” i say backing away from him

“I’m not drugging you Ally and my name is Asher” 

“Okay Asher, but no i still don’t trust you” i say and he looks down at me meeting my eyes

“Ally take the pills and sit down” he says sounding annoyed at me but i don’t care i want answers not to sit down

“No, how did i get here” 

“ i found you in the alleyway, you were passed out so i couldn’t take you home so i took you to my house” Asher says still looking down at me

“What happened to that guy that grabbed me, did you see him, did he do anything to me” i say scared for his answer 

“I got to you before he could do anything, trust me Ally he’s dealt with, now take these and i’ll take you home” he says and walks out the door leaving me in his room

Dealt with? What does that mean

Did he kill him

No way 

He wouldn’t do that 

Or would he

What if he's going to kill me next

“Stop it Ally” i say to myself smacking my head to stop those thoughts 

Shouldn’t have done that, now my head hurts even worse 

I look down at the pills Asher had given me, i don’t take them 

I’m not trusting someone i don’t know 

 
The car ride was awkward neither of us said anything 

I looked at the window trying not to think about how bad my head was hurting 

“You didn’t take them did you?” Asher says 

“I did” i say still looking out the window 

“No you didn’t, i can see you trying to hide it you’re not good at hiding things Ally” he says looking at the road 

“Why does it matter if i took them or not Asher” 

“It doesn’t i don’t care if you did or didn’t” i look over at him and roll my eyes 

“Sure looks like you care asshole” i say under my breath

“Quit with the attitude Ally” he says looking over at me 

I ignore him and look out the window 

Only answering him when he asks for directions to my apartment 

He pulls into my apartment complex and i get out not saying anything to him 

As im walking away i hear a car door close, i turn around and see Asher walking over to me 

I stand there waiting to see what he wants 

“You forgot your phone Ally” he says handing me my phone then turning around and going back to his car

I look down at my phone and see it's 9

"Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck" i say while running up the stairs to the apartment

I'm late

Fucking great

Really puts the icing on the cake for today

I go into my room and take a quick shower not wanting to go into work smelling like alcohol. I get out the shower and pick out a random dress from my closet and my black converse i grab my purse and phone and run out the house

I get into work at 9:45 walking in i see my boss and a couple other workers

"Ally nice of you to show up" she says walking over to me

"Im so sorry Ms.Layne i overslept"

"You know Ally this is the third time you've been late and you have only worked here for 5 months"

Fuck, she's gonna fire me

"I know im sorry, i had a really long night and i had to walk here"

"Ally im giving you one more chance, if you're late again i'll have to fire you" she says and walks away from me

"Fuck" i say letting out a breath then start working

I really need to find a new job, I'll go job hunting after i get off today

5:30 hits and i walk out the bookstore

"Okay time to find a job that doesn't have a bitch for a boss" i say to myself while walking around downtwon seattle

I've stopped at two places so far, a coffee shop and a dinner neither jobs i wanted

I walk for about 10 more minutes when i see a bakery

"Mystic Treats" i read the name of the bakery and walk in

It's a cute shop, kinda dark and gloomy but i like it. I see a women behind the counter she has dark brown hair and is wearing a beautiful dress

"Hi hun, what can i do for you" she says walking around the counter to me

"I saw the help wanted sign outside and was looking to put in an application" she looks at me and nods then goes over to the counter and picks up a piece of paper then hands it to me

"Sit down and fill this out, when you're done come to me and we can go to my office for your interview" the women says and i nod going over to sit at one of the tables

after i'm done i bring the paper to her and she takes me back to her offce, we enter a beautiful room, it's painted a light grey and has flowers all over the room. she sits behind her desk and i sit in the chair infront of her

"Okay Ally, have you ever worked in a bakery before?"

"No but my grandmother used to own one and id help her when i was a teen"

"Okay so you have some experience"

"Yes Ms." i go to say then remember she never told me her name
