The Unknown

Ally 

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ears, I groaned and rolled over turning it off. I got out of bed and walked over to my bag picking out clothes to wear to work

“I wonder if Olivia and Chris know I know” i said to myself as I picked my shirt out of my bag 

“They know” I heard Asher say from behind me 

“Jesus Asher, you got to stop sneaking up on me like that” i say putting my hand on my heart indicating he scared me 

“Sorry, but yeah they know” He walked over to me and wrapped his hands around my waist hugging me 

“So how badly does Chris want to kill me now” Asher let out a slight chuckle when I said that 

“He never wanted to kill you” I gave him a ‘yeah sure’ look and he laughed 

“Okay maybe he wanted to a little at first, but he’s fine with it, plus you make Olivia’s bakery a lot of money so it wouldn’t be smart of him to kill you” He kissed my head then let go of me 

“So when i get to work he won’t be waiting with fangs out ready to strike” I asked while grabbing the rest of my clothes out from my bag

“No baby, you will be just fine” Asher said then walked out of the room so i could get ready

This is going to be either a very stressful day or a wonderful day

I walked downstairs looking for Asher, I found him sitting at the dining table with a coffee cup in his hand. “There’s coffee over there if you want some” He said pointing to the coffee pot. He had two cups set up beside it, one was black which I assumed was his and the other was purple. My favorite color..

“The purple one is yours” He said standing up then walking to the sink to wash his cup, i noticed the water turned red, blood…

“So I get my own purple coffee cup, wow, best boyfriend ever!” I said with a sarcastic tone 

“Yes, i know it’s your favorite color” 

“How’d you know that Mr. Avery” I put my hands on my hip questioning him, “I have my ways” He said raising an eyebrow at me 

“Have a good day, i’ll be here to pick you up after your shift” 

“You’re not going to come in, you know to make sure Chris doesn’t slaughter me” 

“I gotta get to the bar, he won’t do anything” 

“Whatever you say” 

“Have a good day, baby” He gave me one last kiss before I got out of the car 

He had drove me to work and promised to be back before the shift was over, nervous was an understatement for how i was feeling right now, i was scared Chris was going to try and do something, even tho Asher said he wouldn’t, i’m not sure how much i can trust that 

I walked into the bakery and was instantly greeted by Olivia. “Hello my lovely bird” She said while pulling me into a hug

“Hi Olivia” I said and hugged her back, i noticed Chris standing behind the counter giving me a weird look 

“Hello Ally” Chris said to me, “Hi” i didn’t know what else to say, i was scared 

“So i’m very aware that you know our little secret, and I all i can say to you is you need to know how important it is that it stays hidden” Chris said now walking from behind the counter to come over to me and Olivia, Olivia let me go and stood beside me 

“I know, and i can promise you that i will never tell a soul, Asher means a lot to me, I don’t want to ever hurt him or any of you” I looked at Chris and he looked almost relieved 

“Ally, I mean this in the nicest way but i don’t trust you” 

“You have every right to not trust me, but i will gain your trust” 

“I’m sure you will in due time” Chris came over to me and for a split second i thought he was going to hug me but he did something i wasn’t expecting. He grabbed my shoulders and brought me to his face, he opened his mouth and i saw his fangs start to form, his eyes grew dark and veins started to pop out on his face I did nothing but stare, i couldn’t scream nor talk.

“Christofer stop” i heard Olivia say, Chris let go of me and stepped back from me 

“Sorry but that was a test” Chris said 

“A test for what, to see if i’d piss myself, because if so i think i passed” 

“No, to see if you could handle seeing our true form” 

“Well did i pass” i put my hands on my hip trying to look fierce but i think i just looked pitiful 

“Yes you did, now go do some work” He said then walked off into the back

“You’re husband has issues” i said to Olivia, she laughed and put her hand on my back

“Yes i know, that’s why i love him”
