The Unknown

“Okay Mrs.Farris” I say looking in her hazel eyes. “Oh hun please call me Olivia and your hired” 

“What? Really” i say looking at her shocked 

“ Yes really Ms.Cole, i’ll see you monday” 

I walk out of the bakery completely stunned, I want to scream. “No way she hired me that easily, she has to be messing with me” i say to myself while walking walking back to my apartment 

Once I get home I immediately call my brother to tell him what happened. “LIAM GUESS WHAT JUST HAPPENED” i scream at my brother the second he answers, “Well hello to you too Ally” he says with a little laugh. “NO TIME FOR HELLO LIAM, GUESS WHAT HAPPENED”. 

“Mom and dad finally stopped bugging you about college and let you do what you want?” he says as if our parents would ever let us do what we wanted with our lives

“Haha very funny Liam, no i got a new job at a bakery and the owner hired me on the spot, we barely did an interview” 

‘Woah Ally congratulations, be careful tho, the owner may be a weirdo and you may be their next victim” god he always has to be worried about everything and always expect the worse out of every situation 

“Calm down Liam, she seems really sweet i doubt she’s a killer”

“You never know Ally, just be careful”

“I will be, i should probably call my old job and tell my boss i quit” can’t wait to talk to her, she’s always been a bitch 

“Oh god, have fun with that Ally”

“Will do, Bye Liam” i hang up the phone and call my boss, well soon to be old boss

Ever since I started working there she’s been rude. When I first started she was nice and helped me get settled into the new job, but after a couple weeks she started getting bitchy and only to me it seems like. Everything I do is wrong to her, she reminds me of my mother. 

The call didn’t go as bad as I thought it would, she seemed almost glad I was quitting. After i got off the phone i went into my room and decided to watch a movie, after about 30 minutes into the movie i heard a knock at my door, i got up and went to see who was at the door

When i opened the door i didn’t see anyone so i shut the door and started walking back to my room, then i heard another knock i checked and again no one was there. “What the hell” i say to myself looking around to see if anyone is near my door, i don’t see anyone so i walk towards the stairs and see someone walking down them

“Hey, were you knocking at my door? '' I say to whoever is walking down the stairs, they don’t say anything, they just keep walking. I watch them till they turn the corner and I can't see them anymore. I get back into my apartment and make sure all my doors are locked then go back into my room to finish my movie. 

It’s now monday and i’m walking to the bakery, i wore black jeans and a gray sweater. I walk into my new job and see Olivia talking to someone, she notice me standing there and stops talking to whoever she was talking to

“Hi Ally, Good Morning” 

“Good Morning Olivia, i’m sorry i'm a little early” i say hoping she didn’t care i came almost an hour early, “Oh no hun it’s okay, this is my husband Chris, Chris this is my new employee Ally Cole” Olivia says and her husband looks at me. He doesn’t say anything, he just stares at me with almost a disgusted look on his face. “Hi sir” I said to him hoping he’d stop looking at me like he already hates my guts. He still doesn’t say anything, he turns to Olivia kisses her on the cheek and walks out the shop

“I’m sorry Ally, my husband can be weird sometimes don’t pay any mind to him” she says and takes me behind the counter 

“Okay so since your new, i’m gonna have you take orders and put in any orders that get called in, if you need any help let me know” she says and leaves me to wait for someone to come in or for someone to call

I wait for a couple minutes and finally someone comes in, it’s an older women with two little girls practically screaming for a cupcake 

“Hi welcome to Mystic Treats, what can i get for you” i say to the women, she looks exhausted 

“Can i get two of the vampire blood cupcakes” 

I look through the names on the cupcakes and find the one labeled Vampire blood, I take out two and put them in a box then hand them to her. “That’ll be 6.50” i say and the women hands me a 10, i give her back her change and she walks out with the two girls begging for their cupcakes 

“Vampire Blood” i say to myself then look at the different names of the cupcakes

“Wolf Bite, Witches Spell, Blood Thirst, Fright Bite, Ghoul, Ghost, Grave Stone, Love Spell, The Cure” i read the names of the cupcakes, Olivia has decorated all the cupcakes to match their name perfectly, i mean the place is named Mystic Treats and the treats are definitely mystical and so pretty 

Not many people came in today, Olivia said usually a lot more come in. Hopefully more will come in tomorrow. I really like this job and my boss isn’t a bitch like my last one but it’s also only my first day. I could go in tomorrow and Olivia could act like my old boss. 

I get home and start making dinner. I wish I had someone to come home to. Living alone is nice but it gets very lonely and boring. Maybe I can find someone here to fall in love with.
