CHAPTER 14

~~~Third Person POV~~~

The day of the expedition finally arrives, everyone is now preparing. Levi squad and Hange's are getting ready together along with Eren's friends.

"Say, Luna. Is there something going on now between you and Dr. Philip?" Hange asks as she wiggles her eyebrows.

"Yeah! We want to know!" Petra joined in.

"What do you mean?" Luna asks.

"Well, we noticed you've been spending more time together. And don't get us started with the way he treats you." Sasha explains.

"I'm a patient... in the infirmary... and he's a doctor? Of course I'll be spending more time with him and it's his job to treat me. What are you on about?" Luna asks as she ties her shoes. Since she'll be on patrol duty today, she's obliged to wear proper uniforms.

"Oh please. The way he looks at you isn't how a doctor should look at his patient." Ymir says.

"I know right? He looks at her as if he's almost like... in love with her!" Christa added.

Luna laughed at their assumptions. "Ooor, you're all just making a big deal out of it. Philip and I are good friends."

"Philip. Even his name makes you want to feel his lips." Hange says casually.

Suddenly, Luna remembered the kiss that she shared with Levi after hearing Hange's words. To distract her from her thoughts and keeping herself from blushing, she pulled the strings of her shoes tighter than she was supposed to.

Levi, who was intently listening to the conversation the whole time and couldn't keep his eyes from Luna, cut in the conversation. "Tch. Oi, brat. You're tying it too tight. Even a child can do it properly."

Meanwhile, Mikasa, who's been observing the room finally spoke. "20 euros says he's jealous." She says which earned a horrified look from Armin.

"Don't say things like that. Captain Levi might hear you." Armin whispers.

"Don't care at all." She responds, shrugging her shoulders.

"I gotta agree with her." Gunther joins in. "Even I am jealous. I mean, look at Luna. Who wouldn't want to be with her?"

While they are busy chatting about their Corporal, Luna had thought of another way to annoy the midget in front of her. As she leans back with her hands supporting her, she tilted her head before lifting her foot in front of her, pointing it directly to the captain. "Then tie it yourself."

Everyone was taken aback from Luna's action but Levi is already used to it. Without uttering a word except for his usual "Tch", he kneels down in front of her and held her foot before loosening the strings of her shoe. Everyone, except Luna, was shocked with how cooperative and compliant the usually intractable corporal is.

While everyone was dropping their jaws at what they're seeing and still trying to contemplate what is happening, Luna and Levi seems to have their own world in the middle of the baffled crowd. "Not too loose, I might trip." Luna complains.

"Tch, you could hurt your feet if you tie it tight." Levi retorts.

"But I feel safer when it's tied closely to my feet." Luna responds.

"Fine, whatever. Just don't blame me if you sprain your ankle or hurt yourself." The raven haired man replies.

As soon as they settled their bickering, Levi stood up straight and dusted himself before speaking. "Well? Are you brats just going to watch and be useless or are you all done preparing so we can get this shit over with?" He asks, his voice booming across the four walls of the room before he leaves. Luna, feeling everyone's gaze at her, immediately made her way out of the room to avoid their questions. Now, everyone just ended up looking at each other with their confused expressions until they heard their Corporal's angry shout. "GET YOUR ASSES OUT HERE NOW OR I'LL DRAG YOU ONE BY ONE!" Everyone, except Mikasa, started scramming from the room.
