Glimpse of Serendipity

Royal palace:

The staff was in a hurry to convert one of the palace chambers into a makeshift sonography room. The royal medical staff along with the staff of Dr Kim Namjoon's fertility center were trying their best to make the whole set up as seamless as possible. It was time for the 10 week scan of the surrogate, which would give everyone the glimpse first of the royal baby to come. 

The scan was supposed to happen at 8 weeks but because the queen wanted to be part of the whole process, the palace had made an official announcement about the prince and the scientist's relationship and them expecting a baby together, through surrogacy; which was a whole new drama all together. It all took a new turn as the queen being herself added her own twist to the storyline, leaving the rumoured couple in utter shock and frenzy. Want to know why? Read the announcement yourself.

《The mystery of Prince Jungkook and Dr Kim's relationship rumours was finally solved as the royal palace made an official announcement about it in a special press conference organised by the royal spokesperson, which says,

"Her royal highness along with the royal family would like to corroborate with delighted pleasure that Prince Jeon Jungkook and His fiancé Dr Kim Taehyung, are together expecting their first child through surrogacy. We also would like to substantiate that the future Prince or Princess’s biological father is Dr Kim Taehyung and the egg-donor was our beloved late Princess Jeon Joana, the second. 

In order to maintain the faith of the subjects of the realm and to keep the royal lineage intact, our beloved late princess had offered to be the egg-donor for this surrogacy. This donation was done a few months before her fatal accident 

To clarify any ambiguity, the palace would like to acknowledge here that the engaged couple has been courting for 2 years and our Prince is betrothed to Dr. Taehyung for a year now. Both of them were scheduled to marry earlier this year, but it has been postponed evermore due to the sad demise of the Princess. 

We request the citizens to deluge the couple and the soon to come baby with love and blessings. And respect the wishes and choices of both the young royals."

The royal palace didn't announce the date of the wedding, but royal analysts believe it to take place after princesses Joana's first memorial day, as the mourning period ends after it. The citizens are now eager to see and hear more from this new royal family.  It is first time in the history to welcome a child before official marriage, but given the circumstances, the realm would definitely appreciate this good news after few months of melancholy.》

The announcement had really shaken up the lovely pseudo lovers, especially the prince. The moment he read the announcement he had run to his grandmother's chamber leaving all the royal etiquettes aside.

"Fiancé? Why is he my fiancé now? I only agreed to act as his lover because you threatened to cut me off from my inheritance, now why is he being declared as my betrothed? Grandmother, this is outrageous!" 

"Hold your horses young man! You are saying I was supposed to declare you having a child with your lover, out of wedlock? With no official commitment at all? And you think the second royal family would just sit pretty and let you break the royal traditions peacefully? You thought my evil brother would just pardon my grandchildren's mess, without using this chance to snatch the throne for his evil grandchild? That's what you thought,  right?" The Queen asked sarcastically, keeping the prince just fishmouthing for a few moments before she continued,

"Don't worry, not like you are going to marry him tomorrow. I didn't give out any such deadline, did I?" 

"No you didn't. But the press is already speculating. That is going to cause chaos, you know right? In a few months, they will start pestering us for it. What then?" Prince asked, making the queen sigh.
