Soleil glances out the window, elbow propped up against it, and watches the world pass by for a moment before turning to Lune "You know, this would've been much faster if we took a plane."

"You're seriously complaining already?" Lune looks up from a magazine she was flipping through, sitting next to the Thompson sisters.

"It's not my fault I haven't been on a mission in what feels like forever. I was kinda busy suffering. You're welcome for saving your ass." Soleil retorts, lightly kicking Lune's shin "You know I'm bad at waiting."

Lune kicks back "And you know I'm terrified of heights, but here we are."

"Remind me why we let you sit across from each other." Kid mutters.

"Because Lune and I had to discuss the latest fashion trends. It's not my fault you kept us so busy with missions that we barely had the time to catch up on it." Liz answers with a dramatic sigh, though she and Lune also exchange a look that has Soleil raising an eyebrow.

"Hey, Liz, what's this thing called?" Patty leans over to her sister, also holding a magazine but with animals this time.

"That's a guinea pig."

"It's so cute!" Patty beams... before ripping out the page an tearing it into small pieces.

With Patty being loud enough for all five of them, having currently moved on to folding something out of the pages of one of Liz's old magazines, and Lune and Liz engrossed in their own little world of fashion, Soleil leans towards Kid and says "Our partners are weird."

"Tell me about it." He comments with a smile.

"Thanks for asking us to tag along by the way. I think it'll be good for us to get back on track. Besides," Soleil pulls her notebook out of her jacket's pocket, "we really need to collect more kishin eggs."

"It's no problem at all. We discussed going on a mission together before you were put out of commission for a while, so we might as well do it sooner rather than later."

"Is that the real reason or are you just hoping to keep an eye on me so I don't do something stupid?"

Kid just smiles again "That's merely an added benefit."

"Rude." Soleil says but she returns the smile "What's the mission anyways? The description you gave us before we left was pretty vague."

Kid leans in a bit closer so she can still catch what he says when he lowers his face "Apparently a necromancer is raising the dead and terrorizing an entire city with zombies."

"And you're being so secretive about this because...?"

"Liz is terrified of anything paranormal. To not ruin her time with Lune on our way I'm letting everyone know what this mission is later."

"Dealing with zombies wasn't on my to-do list today, but I guess I'll have to make an exception then."

"What are you two whispering about?" Liz asks, finally having noticed the interaction.

While the two of them sit up straight, creating some distance between them again, Kid clears his throat and Soleil quickly responds with a "Nothing."

Lune just gives her a smile.

The sun has already set by the time they arrive at their destination, prompting Soleil to rub her arms to retain some heat.

"Are you cold?" Kid asks.

"It's not that bad yet, I'm just terrible with the cold." Soleil admits "I hate it."
