The beginning of love-hate relationships. This beautiful story penned down by Jane Austen back in the 19th century will surprise you with it's relevance to this age. The rich arrogant man of few words falls for the good average young woman with a sharp tongue.

Mr Darcy and Elizabeth are in my opinion two of the greatest characters to be written who are so true to themselves yet so in need of each other.

This movie truly does justice to the book with regard to form, expression and character. While some people prefer the 1995 BBC version.

Also paralleled with Jane and Mr Bingley's story which is almost as much adorable.

This was my introduction to the Victorian Era romance. It's easy, it's lovely.

WARNING:SPOILERS AHEAD.

Fav Scenes: A Dilemma.

1. When Darcy sees Elizabeth for the first time & the immediate aversion of the eyes , the dancing and conversation that follows.

2. When Darcy helps Elizabeth into the carriage and touches her hand for the first time.

3. Darcy and Elizabeth dancing during the ball and the bickering.

4. When Darcy confesses his love to Elizabeth (one of the best confession speeches ever!)

5. When Darcy watches Elizabeth play the piano forte.

6. The last reuniting scene.

7. Special mention: When elizabeth stands on the edge of a cliff and the wind blows in her face, one of my favorites, contemplative.

I give it 4.3/5 stars
