it was a friday afterschool, matt, chris, nick, madi, and alahna were watching movies in the living room matt was stuck to his phone, texting hailey. They had gotten close the week they had spent together, well, the friend group got close with hayden and hailey.

i wish i could but hayden took the car + i cant drive

matt grabs his car keys and puts his shoes on, the others looking at him with confusion
"im gonna go pick hailey up" he says, tying his shoes
"ooo your lover girl?" nick asks with a smirk on his face
"nick, i started talking to the girl a week ago, calm down. Now does anyone wanna go with me?" he asks
"no" they all say separately
"k, bye guys" matt says walking out his room
matt starts driving to haileys house. He knew the directions cause he had to drop her off once so he didnt have to ask for them. After 15 minutes, he honks the horn.

hailey has her christmas pajamas on as she scrolled through tiktok, waiting for matt to get there. She hears a honk outside, she puts her slides on and ran downstairs, telling her moms that she was leaving. She got in the passenger seat, matt staring at her
"what? you jealous of my pajamas?" she asks, looking him up and down in a judgy but sarcastic way
"no, its cute" he says, smiling and driving
"youre in a good mood" she says with a small chuckle
"yeah because im finally with someone who isnt screaming and crying at the movies we watch" he says
