Hailey woke up in her room, madi and alahna slept in her room. She was on the left, madi in the middle, and alahna on madis right. The triplets slept in haydens room. She got out of the bed trying to not wake the other two girls up. She grabbed her phone and went down the stairs where her moms were making breakfast and matt was on the couch.
"good morning" hailey says, sitting on a stool near the counter
"good morning" her mom says
"what are you making?" hailey asks, standing near the stove
"pancakes" marilyn says
"can i help? i swear i wont burn the house down" hailey begs
"we both know thats not true" marilyn says with a small smile
"fine." hailey says, walking over to the couch
she sits next to matt who was on his phone, he didnt acknowledge her at first, but he did after he felt someone touch his shoulder with theirs.
"shit, sorry" hailey says, backing away from him a little
"dont worry about it" he says with a small shrug
theres an another awkward silence like there had been every time after she started ignoring them. She wanted to ask him a bunch of questions, but only one came to mind.
"matt are you okay?" she asks him, he looks at her
"yeah im fine" he says, pushing his lips together
"you can talk to me" she says in a comforting tone
"i just missed you, i thought you didnt wanna be friends anymore or something" he says lowly
"im sorry, i didnt mean to worry you guys. Its been kind of rough for me though and i really didnt want to talk to anyone or leave my room. But i swear it didnt have anything to do with you guys" she rants
"im just scared that ill lose you and it'll be all my fault" he says, looking at the girl on his right
"dont be because i really am not going anywhere" hailey says with a soft smile
"yeah, i know" matt says as the others walk down the stairs
They all sat down at the table since breakfast was ready. They ate their pancakes and made hot chocolate after, but of course, someone spilled on themselves.
"chris you are so stupid! you spilled on your white shirt!" nick yells at him, hitting chris
"yeah no shit nick!" chris yells back
"hey guys? elliot is having a party at 7, do you guys wanna go?" alahna asks them
they all agree to go. The party was in 3 hours so they still had time to hang out.

TIME SKIP!
The group was getting ready to go. It wasnt a party where you needed to wear fancy clothing, it was more casual. Alahna and Madi were gonna borrow haileys clothes so it would be easier. Hailey put on her cargo pants and a white crop top. She then just did her normal makeup and her shoes and waited for the rest of the group.
Hailey really didnt want to go, but for her friends sake, she was going. Her anxiety levels had gotten worse and worse, especially socially, and she knew that house was gonna be packed with people and loud music which stressed her out. Dont get her wrong, she loves music, but she doesnt like loud music where she cant even hear herself think. When the others were ready, they went to the car. Matt driving, chris in the passenger seat, alahna and nick in the middle row, and hayden, madi and hailey in the third row.
"i would let jenna ortega blindfold me, put duct tape over my mouth, tie my hands behind my back, and throw me in a van" hailey says randomly
"where the fuck did that come from" chris says as the others laugh
"OH COME ON! JENNA ORTEGA IS HOT AS FUCK" hailey protests "shes my soulmate, she just doesnt know it yet"
"shes been in love with jenna since we were six." hayden says with an annoyed tone
"you were in love with her too so shut that big mouth of yours hayden" hailey says, hitting his brothers arm
"i agree with hailey" alahna says with a small chuckle
"LOOK AT HER. SHES GORGEOUS" hailey says, showing everyone a picture of jenna "im having a bi panic right now"
after 20 minutes, they get to the party, and of course, it was just like hailey expected. The house had loud music and hundreds of people. She took a deep breath and just walked inside with hayden right next to her. She already felt like an outcast, she had never gone to a party ever, she always said no. But she just went to make her friends happy. Hayden saw the look on his sisters face, he knew what was going on in her head and he knew she wanted to leave but she was never gonna admit she wanted to.
"are you okay?" he asks her, loud enough for her to hear
she just nodded and walked away. She had been to this house before because elliot and hailey had been friends in 6th grade and she always went over there so she knew where to go. She grabbed a pepsi from the kitchen and went outside, sitting on the steps in front of the house. She heard the door open, but she didnt think anything of it
"hey are you hailey?" some drunk girl asked
"uhm, yeah. Do i know you?" hailey asks
"nooo, but i wanted to tell you something i heard. I think matt and chris were talking and i heard them say that you were just a dare. Sorryyyy" the girl says giggling and going inside the house again
haileys heart shattered, she was speechless. She was just a dare? to all of them. She stormed inside the house until she located the entire group but hayden. She was fighting back tears.
"you guys are all assholes you know? every single of you" she yells at them
"wait what did we do?!" chris yells back
"so im just a dare? huh? one of you dared matt to talk to me?" she yells at them
"i can expla-" chris starts
"so you dared him chris?! all of this bullshit of me being your best friend was a dare to all of you?!" she yells at him, a tear falling across her face
"i told them it was a bad idea! madi, alahna and i told them and they didnt listen!. I swear hailey i consider you my best friend!" nick rants
"hailey please just lis-" matt starts
"i dont want to listen! i really dont want to!. You know what the crazy thing is matt? that i liked you! i really liked you!. I knew this shit was too good to be true because i never get friends!. Fuck all of you" hailey rants, walking into the crowd to find hayden and go home
the friends are speechless, matt looked around but his gaze went to nick
"you told her didnt you?!" matt yells at his brother
"why the fuck are you only accusing me?!" nick yells back
"because youre the one who was so worried about this in the first place!" chris yells at nick
matt runs into the crowd trying to find her, but she was already gone. He tried to look for hayden, but he was gone too. Yeah, hailey was a dare, but she wasnt anymore. she was matts best friend, she was everyones best friend. But matt liked her a lot, and she liked him too. He knew he had fucked up, and he had to find a way to solve it before it was too late.
