the friends were sitting at their table at lunch, well, all of them except matt. Hailey had asked a million times but no one seemed to know where he was, or well, so they said. Matt walked into the cafeteria with a sign, hailey didnt see him because her back was facing the doors, but alahna, nick, and chris saw him and they grinned. Matt went behind hailey
"hey" matt says softly, turning the sign around
hailey turns around, "he-" she reads the sign and opens her mouth slightly, then looks back at matt.
the sign said, "will you be my lover girl at prom? (PLEASE THIS IS SO CHEESY NICK WROTE IT)" she chuckled at it. Matt wasnt the most creative person ever, but he tried. The sign was decorated with the petals of an iris, haileys favorite flower, and a bunch of hearts and notes from her friends.
"yeah lover boy" she smiles, getting up and hugging him.
"i love you" he whispers as their friends cheered and yelled
"i love you too, lover boy" she teases, smiling at him as she pulls away from the hug
"please stop" he says
"nah" she sits back down, matt sitting on the chair they saved for him
"do you like the sign i made?" nick asks, his eyebrows raised
"NICK YOU ONLY GAVE ME THE IDEA FOR WHAT TO WRITE" matt yells slightly
"i love it, ill even hang it up on my doorway" she laughs out
some random boy, well, not so random, comes up to their table. They all grin and look at nick who was already growing red
"hey nick? can i talk to you" tyler asks
"uh, yeah sure" nick says, getting out of his seat and walking out the cafeteria with tyler
"OOOOO" chris yells as the pair were walking out
"chris, shut the fuck up" hayden says
"okay can we admit that chris' and haydens way of asking their girlfriends to prom was cheesy as hell?" madi asks
"yeah, like, imagine asking them TOGETHER, like at the same time. Imagine bursting into their class and asking them, so embarrassing" hailey says
"i liked it" emma says
"emma COME ON" nick says
"i liked it" charlotte hesitates
"LIAR" hailey yells
they both stay silent, causing the others to laugh out loud.
