it had been a few weeks since they got back from chicago, matt had hailey blindfolded in the car and he was driving her somewhere. It was just the two of them which was nice.
"matt just tell me!" she begs
"no! you have to wait" he says with a smile that hailey couldnt see
it takes another 5 minutes to get there, but once they do, matt helps hailey out of the van and guides her by holding her waist gently with both hands. He guided her up the steps of someplace so she didnt trip. She can hear water running, really loud water.
"okay, three, two, one" he unblindfolds her
she looks around, they were at the top of a water fall and there were 2 blankets stacked on top of eachother and fairy lights around, there was also a gift box. Hailey looked at matt and smiled
"do you like it?" he asks nervously
"i love it" she hugs him
"come on" he grasps her hand and leads her a little further away from the waterfall where the other things were. Matt set one of the blankets on the ground and they shared the other one.
it was kind of windy, but quiet, the only thing you were able to hear was the water and matt and hailey talking
"can i open my gift now?" she grabs the gift box
"yup" he says smiling
she opens it to see the midnights taylor swift hoodie, a superache conan gray cassette, a memories box also from conan gray, and a tiny box. She looks at matt, her hand over he mouth
"i love it so much, thank you!" she hugs him tight
"youre welcome, now look whats in the tiny box" he says
she opens it, it was a handmade bracelet with a charm that said 'i love you, you idiot'. She looks at matt.
"no" she says in disbelief
"yeah well, dean gave me the inspiration and it has the name of our favorite episode and because its true, i love you and you are an idiot. But i mostly wanted to make it like a promise bracelet, i have the same one" he rants
"thank you!" she hugs him tight
"here, ill put it on" he says, grabbing it and putting it on her wrist
she smiles and kisses him quickly. She could feel him smile into the kiss, which made her smile too.

hailey was helping matt clean up. It was turning pretty dark and it looked like it was gonna rain so it was best to go back home.
"hey, lets go to my house, make a change" she says with a smile
"okay!" he smiles
they put the things in the car and she sits in the passenger seat as matt drives. They were in a comfortable silence, matt finger was tapping the steering wheel which meant his was nervous. He didnt like driving in the rain, let alone drive in the rain when it was dark.
"you okay?" hailey asks
"yeah im fine" he smiles gently at her as the traffic light turned red
"just 5 more minutes" she says softly
he nods. They get to her house and he parks in her driveway. They get out of the car and walk to her room. He gets in her bed and she grabs some pajamas to change into. She changes in the bathroom and walks back out where matt had his eyes closed, holding the blanket up with one arm. She smiles and turns the lights off and closes the door. This was basically what they did after doing something productive together, just cuddle, watch tv, and talk. She got in the bed and faced matt
"hi" he says quietly
"hi" she smiles gentle "oh, charlotte is moving here. Her and chris are probably gonna start dating"
"thats fun! we can have double da-" matt starts, but hailey was already shaking her head "or not"
"no, not at all" she chuckles
"do you like your bracelet?" he asks. playing with the bracelet on her wrist
"i love it, im never taking it off" she smiles
"good, because i spent like two hours making yours and two other hours making mine" he says
"aww, you spent time making something for me? thank you" she says
"goodnight lee bear" he says, putting his arm around her waist
"goodnight matty bear" she smiles
