3rd Person POV
she hated confusion, she hated feeling confused, she hated being confused and she hated knowing that she confused people. the last thing mina wanted was to be confused and yet she was. Mina for the first time in forever was truly confused about something and she didn't know what to do. She knew that the rave'n was coming soon and she didn't want deal with going alone but she also didn't want to deal with staying in her dorm all alone all night and pretending to be okay.
so she did what anyone would do and she stayed in her room making up the odds of what could possibly happen if she asked enid to go with her, yet she didn't come up with anything until she turned and she saw enid standing in the doorway looking at her as Wednesday held her up
"I need help" Wednesday said and Mina used her siren song to wake enid up and made sure she stayed conscious. she looked at the clock and then at the two girls and she sighed
"we have to get to class like now" Mina said and they both nodded as they left the room and they went to class. mina sat down next to enid as she now saw that serena had taken her spot next to bianca but she wasn't mad about it. she was quite happy that out of class the two girls had become friends, minas intuition was good when it told her that those two were going to become something.
she then heard thornhill and she looked forward at her with enid.
"while most plants reward their pollinators with sweet nectar, many carnivorous varieties turn to sexual trickery or deception" she said and minas eyebrows shot up as xavier groaned but she ignored it as well as she could as thornhill began to talk again.
" the orchid produces a pheromone that mimics a female insect, luring the males in. now, once the plant is pollinated, what do the male insects get in exchange?" Ms. Thornhill asked and Bianca spoke up
"Nada. just like all the guys at the rave'n" Bianca exclaimed
" okay, okay. i know you're all excited about Saturday, which is why I haven't assigned any homework but I do still need volunteers for the decorating committee. anyone interested come and see me up here" Ms. Thornhill exclaimed and mina laughed as she watched enid get up and walk forward, ever the girl to want to help. that's what mina liked about her.
the bell rang and mina left as she felt someone grab her hand and she turned to see bianca smiling at her and she smiled back.
"so are you and enid going together?" Bianca asked and Mina shrugged her shoulders before she looked back to see enid and serena together and she smiled softly again as Enid waved and she waved back
"I don't know, are you and serena?" She questioned and Bianca laughed softly under her breathe
"as a matter of fact we are, so you , my little siren need to man up and ask that girl out before she gets asked or she asks someone else" Bianca said and mina nodded as they walked to their rooms together. mina walked to their shared bathroom and she looked at herself in the mirror as she sighed and nodded
"come on mina, its just a dance and shes just a girl. oh come on, who are you kidding shes definitely not just a girl" mina said to herself and then she heard a knock on the door.
"mina I'm leaving to go dress shopping with yoko & divina, ill see you later, don't take too long" bianca said and mina sighed
"go on without me . ill see you later b" she called back and she heard the door open and then she heard bianca leave as she opened the door and she opened up her closet as she pulled out the dress that she had been keeping for an occasion to wear. she didn't know where to wear it but now she had a reason and she wanted to wear it. she ran her hand over it and smiled
"its just a dance" she said to herself and then she nodded again. she laid on the bed and stated there until bianca walked in and she looked at mina with a sad look
"have you just stayed in here this whole time?" bianca asked and mina turned her head to her and she nodded softly
"mina" she said and mina sighed as she sat up and ran a hand through her hair. Bianca sat down next to her and she grabbed her hand
"enid got asked by someone else, a normie and she said yes. i thought that maybe you would've asked her or she would've asked you but that doesn't seem to be the case. are you okay?" Bianca asked and mina ran through every instance of what ever happened between her and enid in two seconds. she thought about the hand holding and the cuddling and class and school and everything but now she felt like a complete idiot.
"god I'm so stupid, now I have to go to the rave'n alone" mina said and she shoved her head in the pillow and stayed there. she wanted to let the pillow swallow her whole but she couldn't let that happen and it never would. mina felt like a complete idiot, she felt like she had read too much into it and she hated it, she hated how much she read into it and yet she couldn't do anything about it.
so she just stayed there on her bed until the next day, when everything would be made worse.
