what do we do?

3rd person pov

mina felt like sometimes she spent too much time with her friends and not enough time out in the real world. she felt like sometimes things were happening around her and she had no idea why it was happening, when or where or how or what. she had all these questions but none of the answers because sometimes they just didn't exist. sometimes the answers won't exist and she hated that more than anything.

sometimes when there are no answers you go looking in places that you just wont find them in and that hurts. it hurts to know that no matter what you will never find or get the answers you want but at least you know that. some people don't know that but she knew and she wasn't okay with it.

so there she was with her girlfriend as they stood in front of ajax who was panting and looking at them. mina stared in confusion at the boy and he made eye contact

"its xavier, they arrested him" he said to the girl and she dropped her jaw in shock

"what?" she asked and he stared at her. he didn't expect her to be so mad or so hurt but he had thought that after the breakup between the two, she didn't care , it was quite the opposite.

"what do we do?" mina asked and he shrugged

"mina, i dont think there is anything we can do. i truly believe that all we can do is be by his side and trust him. he needs us, you more then anyone. i didnt know you two were still close but it makes sense and he needs you" he said but mina had too many thoughts racing in her mind

'cant help, cant help, cant help'

'useless, useless , useless'

she kept hearing it all over and over in her head and she was tired of it. she turned to enid and sighed. she kissed the girls forehead

"i have to go" she said and she ran to her room as she grabbed a towel and then she ran to the docks. when she got there, she removed her clothes quickly and she jumped into the water. she began to swim around and felt her legs join together in their tail form. she let it as it kept her mind off of everything. she needed to keep her mind off of everything. she swam for as long as she could and when she came to the surface, there was enid with serena and bianca. they all stared at the girl as she stared back

"whats up?" she asked and enid scoffed

"whats up? mina seriously, you ran off out of nowhere and ive been looking everywhere for you. a little warning of im going swimming, i need a minute, dont come find me. literally anything wouldve made me feel better. you worried the hell out of me and i am on the verge of a heart attack" enid ranted and mina got out of the water as she held out her hand and serena handed her the towel. she wiped herself down and sighed as she looked at the tears in her eyes and hugged her.

"im sorry i shouldve told you where i was going , i just feel so fucking helpless. hes my best friend and i cant do anything to help him. it feels like im useless and anything i could do wouldnt be enough. i dont anything about this could be enough E. im scared and im worried and im angry and i just needed to cool off and think alone for a few minutes" mina said and she heard enid let out a sigh making her let out one too.

"hey guys, i think we're going to head back to my dorm for the rest of the night. we love you guys" Serena said and mina smiled at the girl who smiled back. bianca tugged serenas hand and nodded

"lets go" Bianca exclaimed and serena walked off with bianca. mina pulled away from enid and she wiped the girls tears.

"im sorry E" she said and enid shook her head

"I understand ya know. its hard and scary but im here for you anytime. now do you want to help me move back into me and wednesdays room?" she asked and mina laughed and nodded. she put her clothes back on as she went back to the school with enid. they went to yokos room and got enids stuff before they brought it back

"are we putting everything where it used to be?" mina asked when she opened the door and enid nodded. then they began to set up the room again, the door oened and in walked wednesday

"hey" enid said

"youre back" wednesday exclaimed softly

"im gone for few days, the place gets trashed and thing almost dies. someones gotta look out for you two" enid said and mina smiled

"thats what im here for" she said and enid looked jaw-dropped at the girl as she shoved her softly and they both smiled.

"what happened to rooming with yoko?" wednesday asked

"yokos great. i just decided i needed a few more boundaries" enid said

"skip the tape" wednesday exclaimed and minas eyebrows raised.

"dont tell me wednesday addams is mellowing out" enid retorted

"i would be shocked" mina stated

"never. more like evolving" she told them

"well, one nich of duct tape at a time" enid said

"why the sudden change of heart?" she asked

"because we work. we shouldnt, but we do. its like some sort of weird frienship anamoly. everything you said about me is true but i dont apologize for it. not anymore, its just who i am" enid said and mina smiled proudly

"thing said he missed you and you too mina" wednesday said as she looked at the sanchez girl.

"i missed him too. im sorry about xavier" enid said and she grabbed minas hand softly

"im not. hes a liar and a killer. besides... theres nothing quite like the feeling of being proven right" wednesday spoke

"expect someone to share it with. thing may have blabbed about your date wiht tyler, so howd it go?" enid asked

"it was interrupted" wednesday spoke

"well, i heard tyler is working the late shift, maybe you can go and see him" enid said and wednesday nodded as she left. mina smiled at enid.

even after everything, she could smile.
