3rd person pov

after what happened after dinner mina didn't know what to do but she knew that she wanted to stay as close to enid as possible. she wanted to protect the girl and keep her safe, so she called and made sure that Sophia and carlos got home safe and sound. she worried about them more than she should but anyone with her family would worry about them, she cared about her family a lot more than other people did.

so there she was with enid as they stood in the doorway and stared at Wednesday who had candles around her and mina stared in confusion. she was a little confused by the whole thing but she knew not to question it

"sorry, we didn't mean to interrupt your.... uh, do we even want to know?" enid asked mina who smiled and shook her head with a soft laugh

"i definitely don't want to know" mina stated and enid nodded softly before the pair turned to Wednesday again.

"i was reaching into the black maw of death to connect a relative" Wednesday said and mina stared at the girl in shock

"talking to dead fun" she said and enid nudged her

"feels very on-brand for you. you have a relative named goody?" enid questioned

"she was one of the original outcasts. been attempting to summon her but shes been ignoring my entreaties" Wednesday exclaimed and mina turned to look at the girl in confusion.

"oh, you thought about using one of my scented candles? the aroma of steak tartare is to die for" enid said and mina laughed before they turned to see a letter being slipped under the door

"maybe goody answered you after all" enid said

"oh enid, i don't think she did" mina spoke up and Wednesday agreed with the girl.

" i highly doubt she communicates in magazine cutouts"Wednesday said and the srared at the girl in confusion.

"we should go with you right?" mina asked after Wednesday showed the girls the paper and she nodded. they got on their warm clothes and they began to walk to the crypt together. mina held enids hand as they followed behind Wednesday closely.

"you insisted on coming along but i was fine on my own" Wednesday said and mina shook her head

"i highly doubt that Wednesday, sometimes you need a little protection" she said and Wednesday shook her head as they stared at the crypt together.

"seems like our wannabe deep throat is already here" Wednesday said

"ew, what died?" enid asked

"smells like childhood, come on" Wednesday said and she walked in but enid stayed out with mina

"second thoughts. why don't we just stay out here? ya know as a lookout?" enid said and she held minas hand and they stayed together.

"ill protect you e" she said and enid smiled at her girlfriend. that was until enid brought out a cake and mina smiled

"of course its her birthday, you smart little genius" mina said and they walked in together. mina smiled at everyone singing as she joined in with them, she saw serena and she smiled at the girl who smiled back.

"i should've known you were behind this, what part of no party under the penalty of death do you not understand?" wednesday said and serena coughed softly as mina made eye contact with her

"i thought my cake design was pretty inspired" he said and they looked at the cake

"the pink balloon was my little touch" enid said and mina smiled at her girlfriend

"why don't you make a wish?" enid exclaimed and Wednesday walked away, mina ran her hand over enids arm comfortingly

"okay that's not really a wish" enid said after they all heard Wednesday

"the first part of that phrase was burned onto nevermores lawn. it cant be a coincidence" wednesday exclaimed

"wait, were never eating that cake are we?" ajax said and mina sighed

"definitely not" she said and they all turned back to Wednesday as her back bent and they all stared in fear but after , they all left and went back to their dorms.

the next morning, mina woke up and got ready. she got dressed and she left her room as she began to walk around and go to her classes. she saw serena standing there staring at one of the balconys and she turned to the girl

"you look mad" mina said and serena turned to her.

"I'm not" serena retorted and mina shook her head with a soft smile

"you cant lie to me ser, you know that" mina said and she walked away from the girl as she waited for the girl to admit to her feelings. she just wanted the girl to know that she was there for her and she was.

mina didn't know what to expect when her girlfriend said that she had a surprise for her but she didn't care. all she wanted was to make the sinclair girl happy and if that meant simply accepting a gift from the girl she would do it.

"its a snood, i matched it to your aura. me ,you and Wednesday have matching ones" she said and mina smiled at her girlfriend as she put on the purple one and enid put on the pink one. Mina did a spin for her girlfriend who smiled brightly and practically cheered.

"oh it looks so good on you" enid cheered and she ran forward and hugged mina who kissed her softly and hugged her back. the snood felt itchy but she didn't tell enid that

"i love it so much, thank you e. this is so sweet of you" she said and enid smiled again

"anything for you" she exclaimed and the girlfriends stood there in happiness and silence but they liked it. they felt at home and happy.

all they needed was each other.

they make my heart happy, i think they're one of the WLW relationships I've written that make me feel safe and at home. i have never loved one of the relationships i have ever written so much until now. they actually give me hope for the real world even though they are fictional characters and they don't exist but who cares? i love them more then life itself and everyone needs to know. i am making this everyone's problem as we speak.
