Chapter 21 A temporary split

"We are not going anywhere with you!" Kunikuzushi yelled at Zhongli hugging you close.

"Now that war has been declared you all must return to Liyue where it's safer." Zhongli said firm. "Your all targets that they will try to get in order to make me submit"

"Well you should of thought of that before you declared war" Khoi said crossing his arms.

"Not just that I refuse to have MY Mother" Kunikuzushi said glancing at Khoi before looking at Zhongli "be in the Nation of the Archon who destroyed her lands and people!" He pointed at him angry. "That's insulting! Do you not know how much pain you caused mother??"

"Again with that" Zhongli said taking a deep breath. "Listen son-"

"Don't call me that!" Kunikuzushi yelled angry.

"Do not yell at me" Zhongli said firm. "I am your father you will give me respect."

"Oh I'm getting deja Vu" Khoi said standing next to Aether. "He told me that too."

"Only mom can tell me what to do!" Kunikuzushi said while putting up his middle finger at him "So suck -" he felt a hit behind his head "ow ow!" He put his hand on his head turning "who did that-" he paused seeing your silent smile. ".... I'm sorry mothe-" he took off as he saw you give chase. "I'm sorry mom!!"

"Come back here!" You yelled "what I tell you about that kind of behavior!!"

"I'm sorry mom! I wont do it again!" Your ex-fatui son yelled as he felt his shirt suddenly hold him in place. "Ah!! Mom!!" He whined out.

"Paimon really finding this hard to believe!" The child said confused "when we met him he was talking all tough and such now look at him. Such a complete change."

"Well at least now we know what he fears" Aether said watching you getting Kunikuzushi in trouble.

"Mother is scary when it came to behavior " Khoi said agreeing. "While I was learning how to express myself.. I picked up the same habits as he did now.. I thought that if I took to watching people from a distance I'll be able to know how they act around others.. Soon I learned it wasn't a good idea." Khoi said scratching his head "and more when there coming out of a tavern drunk.."

"You watched drunk people fight in hopes of learning how to be more expressive with yourself??" The floating child said crossing her arms "Even Paimon knows that's a bad idea!"

"I know that now" Khoi said "But I didn't know any better back then. Mother had to point it out to me."

"Do you still people watch?" Aether ask.

Khoi shook his head. "In all honesty. Lately, I avoided going into town when I could back in Mondstadt." Aether and Paimon looked curious so Khoi continued. "Don't get me wrong it's not as if I was still insecure of myself. More like.. I just didn't feel.. safe I guess you can say. Especially whenever mother was with me. I felt like I was being watched."

"Watched?" Aether asked.

"Yes. I never figured out who but I know I was being followed around whenever I went there." Khoi explained. "Not to mention there were.. certain people who just didn't sit well with me."

"Oh?? Like who??" Paimon asked.

"That captain of the Knights of Favonius. The one with an eye patch and blue hair. I believe he holds a Cryo vision."

"That's Kaeya" Aether said.

"Then one with red hair. He used to be knight but it seems he hates them now" Khoi said.

"That's master Diluc!" Paimon said.

"And lastly what really made me on edge was the gaint archon statue. The one infront of the church." Khoi said as he shivered a bit at the thought. "I just get a bad feeling from looking at it.."
