well, that didn't seem very true for this special fairy.
maleficent's pit of self-pity, demise and anguish was further deepened when she had gotten news that diaval, too, had gotten whisked away with half the population
and since then, she had not spoken one word.
not to the two remaining guardian fairies who had mourned the loss of their dear sister and friend, and the loss of half of their population.
not to the remaining half of the population.
it had been about five years since that fateful day.
the rest of the population had slowly built themselves back up, now living relatively happy lives again, all in memory of those lost.
but maleficent could just not seem to bring herself to do that.
to put it all behind her.
she just couldn't.
she had tried.
oh, yes.
she had tried many, many, many times.
though each time, the memories would just claw their way back into her brain, leaving her in what seemed to be an eternal pit of mourning.
so she had given up. on trying. on everything.
what was the point of trying? they were all gone and nothing would reverse that. they had no way back.
her only friends. gone. dead.
or did they even count as dead?
they technically hadn't died.
no, only got powdered away.
but that was close enough, i guess.
not like they could come back, so what else could you classify it as?
but her world seemed to crash down all over again when a certain message came through a little feather.
the feather had come to her on a special day, alerting her that the remaining avengers would be arriving shortly on her home planet.
the feather informed they had known of a way that maybe they could all get everyone back.
and she had no clue what to do.
