Chapter 19: "The Magic Sleeve"

(Alya Pov)

Nighttime has arrived, as the room we're all in has darken. Before we know it, each lamp was turned off. Finally seeing everyone was fully asleep, it was time for our escape.

Wukong recited a spell, and just as he said he unlocked the door. Opening the door slowly, Sandy and Wukong hurried over to the horses stable getting our Dragon Horse, while Pigsy led me and Tripitaka over at the abbeys gates.

Pigsy opened gates slowly as he can, I looked over at Tripitaka. He smiled but glanced away. Sensing he did still feel hurt from what I've done,

'I really messed up earlier, I know he forgave me but still, I damaged trust between us. I have to find a way to make it up to him atleast.'  I thought, before we knew it. Pigsy finally fully opened the door

"Are the gates open?" We all turn to see Wukong holding the horses straps while Sandy held our bags,

"Yep, but we better leave now before the sun rises" Pigsy said,

We all then quickly ran out of the abbey and outside, where we started to run faster. Getting away from the abbey as far as possible.

We all breathed heavily and stopped for a moment, Tripitaka was gasping before sitting down, making us all stop

"L-Lets take the rest here for the night, we haven't gotten any sleep when we escaped earlier" Tripitaka said,

We all nodded, we didn't have time to set up the tent since the sun was going to rise for in about 5 hours, and setting the tent would take an hour.

Setting down the sleeping rugs, me and Tripitaka laid on our separate ones. Sandy picked the tree to lay back on while Pigsy found a pack of dried leafs to lay back on. Wukong was the only one who didn't sit down, but kept on looking back from where we escaped.

I sit up to look over at Wukong, before standing up and walking over to him

"You should be resting, aren't you tired?" Wukong asked me,

"I can't. I have too much in mind" I tell him,

"What do you got in mind? Worried?" He asked me, I shook my head and sat down

"Maybe a little, but it's about me and Tripitaka" I tell him, as he too sat down next to me. Listening in,

"I really messed up, I made a promise to Tripitaka that I wouldn't eat the fruit. But I went behind his back and did it anyways" I sigh heavily, looking over at the stars above us

"But didn't he forgave you already?"

"He did, but, I still don't feel good. After what happened, I don't wanna mess up again"

Wukong sighed and nodded,

"Even though it was Pigsys fault, it's still sorta my fault I made you eat the Ginseng fruit in the first place. I mean, you even told me it was a bad idea and yet, I didn't listen" he said,

We both felt the same way of what happened earlier, we looked at the stars together. Feeling it was cold night, I shivered from the cold wind.

Wukong than unwrapped the red scarf he had around his neck and put it around mines. I soon felt the warmth from his exchange to mines.

"Aren't you cold?" I asked him, he shrugged his shoulders,

"I lived on the wilderness, I'm used to it. But you are just a mortal, meaning your fleshy mortal skin are just as sensitive and weak, compared to mines im not" he said smiling over me,
