chasing stars - poetry

three stars

this is it
this is breaking down
this is mania
and they world just
stands by
as everything is lit aflame
so im choosing three stars
one for each time
i begged and pleaded for help
and was met with nothing
one for each person
who i love and is at
the same time dead to me
one for each of the
destinies im leaving behind
one for each of the futures
im going to pave
for myself
to remind myself
that there's hope
on the horizon
