y/n's race changes absolutely nothing about the story. she could be adopted, or elliot could have the same features as the reader, entirely your choice

y/n uses she/her pronouns in this book, but please do not let this put you off if you'd still like to read. instead, read the pronouns as the ones that you are more comfortable using, and change anything that is too feminine for your liking

^^ following on from that point, i'll be including a couple images of outfits as it helps me to imagine them better. i'll put a more feminine and more masculine option for any photos. also, please feel free to add links to outfits you'd rather wear. i've seen this in other books and i enjoy seeing other people's style :)

lastly, this book is not made for any particular age, however if you are an adult, please click off immediately. i myself am a minor, as well as the characters, five and y/n. any sexualising of any type will be removed and you'll be blocked. i'd also suggest that you are over the age of 13, as there is a lot of descriptive language to do with injury and violence, as well as mentions of blood. there will of course be spoliers
