THIS is her first day as a student at Elphinestone Academy so she woke up early and went to cafeteria for breakfast.
Tuloy tuloy lang siya sa paglalakad hanggang sa makarating siya sa cafeteria. She grabbed a plate and put a food on it.
She sat at the vacant table for one person and eat her breakfast peacefully. She felt relieved when she woke up earlier. Yung pakiramdam na wala ng nakakabit na apparatus sa katawan niya at yung pakiramdam na tahimik at payapa siyang nag aalmusal.
She became alert when she felt a presence infront of her. Pero hindi niya 'yon makilala dahil blurry ang paningin niya pero naaaninag niya ang kulay ng mata nito.
It's golden brown...
"Aren't you going to talk?" Ani niya habang naka pokus pa din ang atensyon niya sa pagkain niya.
"Hey..." Boses 'yon ng lalaki.
She may not recognize his face but she can recognize his voice and that made her heart skipped a bit, she felt goosebumps and she became more alert.
What is his name again?
I know it starts with the letter M...
Napakunot noo si Celeste habang inaalala ang pangalan ng lalaking kaharap niya ngayon.
Marcus...
"Marcus." Tawag niya sa pangalan nito.
Marcus smirked at her. "You remember my name huh." ani niya. Bigla naman siyang nag taka dahil kahapon pula ang kulay ng mata niya. Hindi man niya malabo man pero alam niyang color red ang mata nito at ngayon naman ay golden brown.
"What happened to your eye?" Takang tanong niya.
"I hunt animals that's why my eyes changed color." Ani niya. Bigla naman siya nakaramdam ng matinding takot dahil sa sinabi niya.
"W-what do you mean?" Naguguluhan niyang tanong.
"Do you-" bigla siyang napahinto ng biglang may nagsalitang babae.
"Celeste!" Bigla siyang nabuhayan ng marinig ang boses ni Paris and then suddenly she felt the presence of Stefan, Vladimir, Victoria and Abby.
"Stay away from her Marcus!" Boses 'yon ni Stefan.
"We will take care of him, Paris." Boses naman 'yon ni Vladimir.
Paris nodded at Vladimir's direction and then she faced Celeste with a worried face.
"Why are you so worried about her Paris." She heard Victoria's voice.
"You really don't know how to deal with human's feelings, don't you?" Sarkasmong tanong ni Abby sakanya.
"Shut up Abby." Victoria's tone seems irritated. Napairap naman sa hangin si Paris sa dalawang nag tatalo. "Shut up guys hindi kayo nakakatulong!" Ani niya.
"Celeste." Biglang tawag sakanya ni Paris.
"Hmm?"
"What did he say to you?" Tanong niya kay Celeste.
"He just talked to me casually." Ani ni Celeste. "And... I asked him what's wrong with his eyes." Ani pa ni Celeste.
Bigla namang tumalim ang tingin ni Paris dahil sa huling sinabi ni Celeste. "What's wrong with his eyes?" Tanong niya kay Celeste.
"I saw him yesterday with bloody red eyes its a strong color so its really visible." Ani ni Celeste.
Pinilit niyang maging casual sa harap ni Paris dahil nararamdaman niyang kakaiba ang presence nilang magkakaibigan.
Bigla siyang hinawakan ni Paris pero hindi nito naramdaman ang kamay niya.
She's wearing a gloves.
"Why are you wearing a gloves?" Tanong niya kay Paris.
"It's for everyone's protection." Ani ni Paris na tinanguan naman ni Celeste.
Nagtungo sila sa malawak na field ng Elphinestone at namangha siya dahil ngayon niya lang niya 'yon nakita though marami pa ding puno sa paligid pero sobrang lawak non.
"Actually... we are here to tell you something." Ani ni Paris.
"About what?" Tanong ni Celeste.
"Do you believe in Vampires?" Tanong ni Paris.
"Of course not, vampires is part of a folklore. Vampires are not real." Ani ni Celeste.
Napailing iling si Paris sakanya. "Vampires are real." Ani ni Paris. Mahinang natawa si Celeste sa sinabi ni Paris and that made Victoria irritated but Paris stopped her.
"Do you have any proof?" Ani ni Celeste.
"The proof is infront of you!" Ani ni Paris. This time she laughed loudly. "Are you joking?" Natatawang tanong niya kay Paris.
"Marcus is a vampire that's why his eyes are red and that's why our eyes became golden brown its because we are a vampire." Ani ni Paris.
That made Celeste stilled, her knees weakened and she suddenly felt dizzy.
A memory flashed in her mind but she can't really recognize their faces.
"W-why..." wala sa sariling sambit ni Celeste.
"Elphinestone Academy is a school for vampires and humans. 75% of Elphinestone's population is vampires." Ani ni Paris.
N-no...
Are they going to drink my blood?
"Vampires are dangerous..." bulong niya pero sapat na 'yon para marinig nila.
"That's right and we can kill you and turn you into a vampire anytime we want." Ani ni Victoria.
Bigla siyang napaatras ng biglang naglakad palapit sakanya si Victoria at inilabas nito ang pangil niya na nagpakilabot kay Celeste.
"Stay away from me!" Sigaw niya.
Hinawakan siya ni Victoria sa balikat but someone stopped her. "Victoria! Don't! There's something different in her blood!" Biglang sigaw ni Abby and that made Victoria stilled.
"What's different?" Takang tanong ni Celeste.
"Y-you don't know?" Gulat na tanong ni Abby.
Bigla namang nagkatinginan sina Victoria, Paris at Abby na para bang nanghihingi sila ng impormasyon may Hubby.
That's Abby's Enhanced ability she can smell anything inside your body. Vampires are commonly known for their enhanced sense of smell but Abby's ability are different because her ability doesn't have a blind spot.
While the other vampires sense of smell have a blind spots because that's not their rarest ability, other than their common ability like sense of smell, sight and hearing they also have their rarest ability and it is more enhanced that their common abilities.
Hindi alam ni Celeste ang nangyayari at nahihilo na din siya kaya naman hindi na niya napigilan at bumagsak na ang katawan niya dahil sa panghihina.
Her mind is awake but her body is not kaya naman blangko lang ang isip niya. She can felt her body floating, even though she wants to open her eyes but her body didn't let her.
I felt weak...
