NAKAMASID sa kawalan si Luther habang inaalala ang paguusap nilang dalawa ng kapatid niya kanina sa telepono.
"Luther, this is about the Lazaro clan they are now searching Elphinestone." Ani ng kapatid niyang si Stefan.
"For what?"
"Their daughter, they believe that Eliz and Timothy's daughter is still alive." Ani ni Stefan.
"What was their daughter's name again?" Tanong ni Luther.
"I- I don't know, I can't remember I think its Cristy." Ani ni Stefan.
"How can they be so sure that their daughter is still alive?" Takang tanong naman ni Luther.
"I'm not sure but base on what I've heard they perform a sorcery using their blood and that was a rare case in Lazaro. I remember the last sorcery happened in 1897." Ani ni Stefan.
"H-how did that happen? Then why are they here at Elphinestone?" Tanong ni Luther.
"They used a rare kind of sorcery to teleport using their blood, imagine how powerful their blood can be!" Ani ni Stefan.
"I'm on my way there Stefan we will soon meet the Lazaro clan." Nakangising sabi ni Luther habang kausap ang kapatid sa kabilang linya.
LUTHER was surprised when Celeste appeared by his side.
Tumikhim ito at may pinakitang bulaklak na nakabalot sa panyo. "Bring me to Lucinda, please I need your help." Ani ni Celeste.
"I can't help you for now Celeste, I'm busy with something." Ani ni Luther tsaka nag iwas ng tingin sakanya.
"Can I at least ask Marcus, Stefan or Vladimir if one of them can come with me?" Tanong ni Celeste.
Napabuntong hininga si Luther tsaka humarap kay Celeste.
"Fine, just don't do anything stupid." Ani ni Luther tsaka mahinang ginulo gulo ang buhok niya.
"Alam mo ba kung para saan ang bulaklak na 'yan?" Tanong ni Luther na tinanguan naman ni Celeste.
"Do you think I'll be able to see everyone's face?" Tanong ni Celeste.
"Of course, lady miraine knew a lot of magical herbs that can help you heal." Ani ni Luther.
"Miraine? Who is she?" Takang tanong niya.
"Siya ang mayordoma ko rito sa mansiyon." Nakangiting sabi ni Luther.
What a beautiful name...
Napangiti naman si Celeste dahil ilang beses na niyang nakakausap ang mayordoma pero ngayon lang niya nalaman ang pangalan nito.
Bigla namang nabaling ang atensyon niya kay Luther ng mahina itong dumaing habang hawak ang sintido niya.
"Luther!" Tawag niya sa pangalan ng binata pero parang wala itong tainga dahil hindi man lang niya narinig ang pagtawag nito sa pangalan niya.
"P-please... g-go Celeste I might lose my control!" Sigaw niya.
Bigla namang kinabahan si Celeste dahil iniisip niya na baka biglang mawala sa tamang huwisyo si Luther but the other side of her brain wants to keep him calm and her heart wants her to stay.
Ilang minuto ring nagpupumilit sa sakit si Luther bago umayos ang lagay niya. Nakatulala lang ito sa kawalan habang nakaupo sa sahig at nakasandal ang isang braso nito sa tuhod niya.
"What's happening to you? Are you sick or something?" Sunod sunod na tanong ni Celeste.
"This is normal for a vampire like me who have the ability to manipulate people's mind but also have a memory lost." Ani niya.
"How funny is that? Nasa utak ang ability mo pero may amnesia ka." Ani ni Celeste.
"Is that a joke? Its offensive you know." Sarkastikong sabi ni Luther.
"N-no, I'm not joking just stating a fact." Ani naman ni Celeste. Hindi maiwas ni Celeste ang tingin kay Luther dahil iniisip niya ngayon pa lang kung ano ang reaksyon niya. "Palagi bang nangyayari sayo 'to?" Tanong pa niya.
"Sometimes... thanks to my ability I can also control my mind but it cause a lot of efforts." Ani ni Luther.
"Don't you want to remember everything? Just like your finace? Your happy memories with her at yung moment na sinalinan ka ng dugo ng mga Lazaro?" Ani ni Celeste.
"I do but I can't handle the pain. Masakit na nga sa utak mamaya may masakit pa akong maalala edi double pain yun sakin." Natatawang sabi ni Luther.
"Its nice to hear you speak in tagalog." Ani ni Celeste. "Well at least you know what happened before." Ani ni Celeste.
"I do really want to remember everything but I'm also afraid that it might be painful." Ani pa niya.
"What if she's still a-alive? Will you still m-marry her?" Nahihiyang tanong ni Celeste.
Bigla namang napangiti si Luther sa tanong niya. "No, I'm already betrothed to you but the only thing that I can remember is we are a good friend and I love her as my friend." Ani ni Luther.
"What is she's still here by your side? Will you ever learn to love her as your wife?" Takang tanong ni Celeste.
"Maybe. She's nice and kind and I saw my picture with her and she's beautiful so I think yes." Ani ni Luther habang nakatingin sakanya.
Bigla naman siyang nakaramdamcng kaba at kirot sa puso niya. She doesn't want to show Luther how hurt she was right now.
"Your mouth can't tell but eyes can." Ani ni Luther habang nakatingin kay Celeste.
"W-what do you mean?" Takang tanong niya.
"Nothing, maybe I'm just hallucinating." Ani ni Luther. Ngumiti si Luther sakanya at tinapik tapik ang balikat niya. "I have to leave and don't do anything stupid, I'll be right back later." Ani ni Luther at ginulogulo muna ang buhok niya bago umalis.
Naiwan siyang mag isa sa silid aklatan ng mansiyon ni Luther. Ang puso niya ay siguradong nababaliw na dahil ayaw nitong kumalma sa mabilis na pagtibok.
She is scared to admit it to herself because just like Luther she's afraid that it might turn out painful. Sometimes the best thing to do is ignore what your feeling really want to tell and don't assume things that might hurt and cause you pain.
And that's what she told to herself, huwag kang mag assume kung wala namang kasiguraduhan or else.
But what if... its love?
