𖦹INTERLUDE FOUR;                                            ICARUS

for me, it was never how you made me feel, but how i felt when i was with  you.

we were a cosmic experience in itself, my love. like the collision between the summer horizon and the coastline, sky and ocean breathing as one- we couldn't bear to burn if we weren't burning together. you are so cruel in your magnetism, so ruthless in bewitchment. falling in love was never an option because it wasn't a choice, i fell into love with you as easily as the sky slips into night. an inevitability, something beyond our mortal palms. with your breath on my ear and your fingers laced through mine, we were untouchable, otherworldly. you made me fly, sweet boy, shining with golden ecstasy like the suns eternal rays. i should have known i would burn, for like i said, we are just mortals, aching to be gods. i should have known we would fall, for you were my sun, and i was icarus.
