Dreams from a not-so-dreamy Slumber

There's a whisper floating on this air-

Thick, sweaty, and adrenaline.

A whisper from you, like a dandelion:

Healing the wounds but screaming inside.

Until I fall into a not-so-dreamy slumber

and watch you walk through a field of sunflowers.

I watch you in my not-so-peaceful sleep-

Waiting at the doorstep for my goodbye kiss.

But dear, it's too terrifying than painful

to say goodbye and slam the door shut.

I fear not the shadowy nights I'd spend,

But losing you forever.

And then I watch you trodding towards the sea-

Violent waves engulfing your feet;

Burning shine, a shrill cry-

You don't care anymore.

My dreams are getting foggy in false bliss and happy ignorance.

My letters are unanswered, and so are my emails.

I wonder if you have been engulfed by the waves

Completely.

For my dreams are clogged with thoughts of no-goodbyes,

and those waves are reluctant to swim deeper into your soul.
