(oc) has been harboring a crush on (crush) for a while now. they chat with (best friend) about it, before ultimately deciding on telling (crush) later.

however, things don't go as planned— because just as (oc) is about to tell them, (crush) has their *own* announcement to make.

"hey guys, meet my new partner! (character), meet the group!"
