His lips pressed against my forehead as he held me close against his chest rocking slowly "do you really have to go?" I looked up at him as he sighed nodding

"It's just for three days and it's mandatory. Crisis at the offices in Seattle and big investors out there are making a move on us. You know better than anyone, that I would stay if I could" I nodded at Ace, but I hated the thought of him going on a work trip

I was 36 weeks, and wasn't at full term nor had any signs of labor at all. My mom told me I came at exactly 40 weeks, but Ace hated leaving me. He warned any sign of labor at all to call immediately. Even if I think it's a false alarm, I hadn't even experienced Braxton Hicks.

He leaned in kissing me softly and looked over to Sloan "Take care of my wife will you?" She blew a raspberry "I've been taking care of Baddie Maddie for years" he chuckled and turned back to me

"Seriously, even if you think your water broke and you just peed yourself?" I scrunched my nose at his analogy "okay I really have to go"

His nose grazed my and then he kissed me again before heading out. The elevator doors closed and I looked to Sloan who held a binder in hand. It was a wedding binder her mom had made for her "help me burn it?"

"Well I think we should take a stab at it first Sloan. Maybe something will meet you eye?" She rapidly shook her head

In the morning we sat in the kitchen scanning the binder together. Last night Sloan attempted to cook me dinner which resulted in ordering cheesy bread at 9pm. I didn't even know pasta could burn like that.

We attempted to look at the binder but Sloan had three glasses of rosé and avoided it. But as the morning came we had to face the binder and all it's sparkly pink glory.

"She literally planned a chuegy wedding for her daughter" she opened the pink binder smacking it down on the coffee table. The colors were a maroon, teal and magenta mess with little leopard print details

"When did she make this? When you were, I don't know 10?" I flipped through the binder "Honestly I hope so, really hope my moms style hadn't declined to 2010" we picked through the binder giggling at the outrageous things her mom envisioned for her

"Has Adonis seen this?"

"Oh you mean did I have him proof read, of course? Though he agrees that I should come in on a horse drawn carriage" she flipped to the page with her face photoshopped onto a bride

My hands flew to my mouth as I stared at it. That's it, Sloans mom had absolutely flown right into the coo-coos nest "she had one too many Cocoa Puffs"

I stood grabbing her navy rain jacket and throwing on mine "where are we going?" I just smiled at her. Being here in Boston currently was the best. I knew the city so well and not that I don't adore New York. But there wasn't really a May's cafe there.... well maybe there was, just not with May in it.

She was an elderly woman who lived in the North End, but to piss her family off she opened a cafe in the South End. Though there is no rivalry, she claims it was just to bother her family. Plus it was near my home, though mom was at work today, the neighborhood brought back hood memories
