He carefully grabbed your hand and brought it up to his lips. While making eye contact, he kissed it ever so lightly.

You smiled. You looked calm on the outside, but on the inside you were doing backflips and yelling at the top of your lungs.

"Make sure to treat the wound." he whispered as he let go of your hand.

"See you tonight." He walked back to his family's hut.

---

"It was irresponsible for you to hit that boy!" Ronal told you harshly.

For the past 10 minutes your mother was yelling at you for punching the fifteen year old boy.

"But Ma, he insulted me!" You try fighting back.

"That does not give you the permission to hit a fifteen year old boy." She said, looking furious.

You realized that it was useless to keep fighting and proving that he was in the wrong here.

"..I'm sorry mother, that won't happen again."

"It better not." She turned around and walked towards your father, who was sitting silently and watching the two women argue. Ronal then started preparing dinner for the family, in silence.

Your father and mother were having a hushed conversation, your mother probably still angry with you and spilling her guts out on how irresponsible your action was, and your father trying to calm her down. You just gazed around the home.

On spur of moment, Tsireya and Ao'nung walk into the hut. They looked around the room and they immediately noticed the dull atmosphere in the hut. Ao'nung looked towards you.

You looked down at your lap, avoiding his gaze.

Tsireya walked to her parents and started a conversation, to hopefully brighten the mood up and help her mother cook, while Ao'nung walked up to you.

"Did they find out?" he questioned as he sat down beside you.

"Obviously." you murmur as you bring your legs up to your chest.

For a few seconds you both listened to the conversation Tsireya and your parents were having at the other side of the room.

"...That was a good punch." he added.

You felt yourself smile, "Of course it was." you nudged his side a bit.

He chuckled lightly and looked at you.

"Sorry for him Y/n.. I didn't know he would say that." Ao'nung was bad at apologies of any sort, but he loved his older sister dearly, he would do anything for you.

"It's fine Ao," you look at him, "But you need to choose better friends."

He rolled his eyes at your comment.

"Ao'nung, Y/n, let's go have dinner!" your father called.

"Gladly." you grunt as you get up eagerly, "I'm starving. "

---

The hut was silent.

You were debating whether you should sneak out and see Neteyam or not.

You already told him to meet there, so he would be there.

But it was all the heat of the moment, you didn't think about one part- sneaking out.

You never disobeyed the rules... At least now never. It was rare that you did, not counting your younger days.

But you wanted to see Neteyam. You wanted to see where today might lead you.
