Tonight is the semi formal dance.. Kelly and Tristan want me to go but they are taking their dates I technically can't take my date because he's a chaperone for the semi formal and he's the cheer coach... I'm still waiting to hear back about my early graduation program.
"Come on bae, I really want you to meet miles." Tristan says smiling
"I'm legit just gonna be a 3rd wheel." I say sighing.
"Honey Dean will at least be there and I'm sure he will make time to spend with you alone." Tristan says
"Fine. I'll go." I say sighing
"Everything will be fine okay?" He asks
"Yeah sure" I say shrugging
***Cheer Practice***
"Cat, you are the top of the pyramid, Tristan, Danielle, Kelly you are second from the top, Kylie, Julia and Ariel under them." Dean says
We all nod and get into our positions.
I'm not paying attention when I slip and fall along with everyone.
"Cat? Are you okay?" Tristan asks
"Yeah" I say shaking my head.
"Let's take 10 everyone." Dean says
Dean helps me up I half smile and dust myself off.
"What's going on cat?" He asks
"I slipped jeez you act like it can't happen?"
He furrows his brows "I didn't say that"
I sigh "Can we just get back to practice?" I ask
"Alright everyone let's retry this." Dean says
**** After school****
I head to my dorm to start getting ready for this stupid semi formal.

I sigh and make my way to the drink table.
"Hey Tristan you got a sec?" Dean asks
"Sure coach what's up?" Tristan asks
"Did uh- did cat bring a date?" He asks
Tristan chuckles "No of course not, I wanted her to come and meet my boyfriend miles."
"Oh so she's here alone?" Dean asks
"Yeah it's been bothering her all day that's probably why she slipped during practice she probably couldn't concentrate." Tristan says
"I feel terrible." Dean says
"She loves you dean she understands and she'd do anything for you." Tristan says smiling
"Any ideas for to make it up to her?" Dean asks
Tristan chuckles "Roses are her favorite, She loves fast food restaurants, as long as you put your heart into it she will love it."
"Thanks, I've dated before but I'm completely head over heels for this woman." Dean says
I stand behind Tristan quietly smiling.
"She's the same way about you trust me. You are all she talks about she gushes on and on "oh Dean is the best guys" "oh Dean is so sweet and handsome" "he always supports me and I love laying on his chest listening to his heart race being around me" Tristan says smiling
"She said that?" Dean asks
"She did." I say smiling
Dean smiles "Hey cat, you look beautiful."
"Thanks coach, so tris where's mystery miles?" I ask
"Oh over here come on." Tristan says linking my arm with his.
Dean whispers in my ear "Meet me by my car after the dance."
I nod and whisper back "Okay."
*A little while later*
The dance is kind of winding down I see Tristan whisper something to Miles then Miles looks to me and nods.
"Excuse us ma'am can we have this dance?" They ask
I chuckle "My oh my such gentlemen" I say getting up and dancing with them
"So I'm guessing you know why I'm solo tonight?" I ask miles
"Yes hun, Tristan told me everything, and I will say that's a very dangerous game but if he's the one you love who are we to stop you?" He asks
"He is. I met his family this past Christmas."
"Oh how did that go?" Miles asks
"His brother is awesome, his dad is so nice and his mom well- she uh hates me." I say
"I feel that, my dad hated Tristan because he doesn't understand the whole guy on guy thing."
"So he's set in his ways pretty much?" I ask
"Yeah." Miles says smiling
"Hey Tristan can I talk to you for a moment?" Dean asks
"Sure coach, take care of her." Tristan says smiling
"Well obviously." Miles says smiling
"After everyone leaves I'm gonna to have a private dance with cat in the parking lot but I want your opinion on this song." Dean says

I see Dean by his car I head over to him once everyone is gone.
"Hey"

"May I have this dance?" He asks
I smile "Of course."

I smile back "Aww baby, I was undecided back then huh? Acted like I didn't want you when we all knew I did"
He chuckles "Yes, I knew you did."
"Yeah it's crazy how it's been a year I feel as if I've known you for years." I say smiling
"I feel the same way baby girl. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me."
"I love you dean and I always will." I say
He smiles kissing my forehead "I love you forever and always angel."
