Better Swan

Part 4

The next day

Charlie's POV

Although I was happy to have my two girls with me I have a very bad feeling. Even spending those few hours with her I could see that Renee had destroyed Isabella. I hoped she wouldn't do anything wrong but I wasn't sure. 

I could see her jealousy when she looked at Alex's car. I heard her trying to enter Alex's room at night but thanks to the lock I know she didn't succeed. I was finishing eating breakfast when I heard Isabella coming down the stairs. 

Yes I was still in the house because after forcing it from Alex I made a healthy work plan for the whole station and I can say that we are more efficient because of it. I sipped my coffee '' Good morning'' I said 

''Good morning'' she replied as if she had no strength. She looked at me '' You are still here I thought you would already be at work. You should already be at work and where is Alexandra'' she said 

''Why does she have a lock on the door'' she added nervously. I knew immediately that she was going to put something down '' Alex is in her house. She didn't stay the night because she had classes from the morning and needed peace and quiet. For the lock on her door she has them because she can'' I said and looked at my watch 

'' I have to go now. Have a nice day Isabella'' I said and left before she started anything. Before I left I got a notification on my phone: Have a nice day dad and I quickly wrote her back: You too Dove  and started the car. I quickly made it and headed to my office where I had a stack of documents to check. 

Before I knew it it was already 12:30 and I heard a knock on my door. When the person entered it was Alex ''Hey dad I have your lunch'' she said ''Knowing you you would forget to eat because of these papers'' she added looking at the papers on my desk. She put the package on the table in my office '' Sit down to eat I'll help you with that '' I said and walked over to the warm lunch. 

Alex knows how to do this and she knows how to do it because this is not the first time she has helped me with papers. Alex also sometimes helps with portraits of suspects when we need it. Everyone at the station likes her for her help. I love her cooking '' Are you meeting me and Isabella at the premises tonight for dinner'' I asked 

'' I can't I have a lesson from 4pm to 7pm today and I have to be at the school because it's a test. I have to leave at 2:00 p.m. to be on time'' she said focused on the papers. When I finished eating Alex had done a third of the papers I had left. I don't know how fast she does it but she's good at it. Not long after that, she gave me a kiss on the cheek to say goodbye and headed off into the wilderness 

''I'll write when I get home after the exam. Bye dad have a nice rest of the day'' she said leaving  '' Good luck Alex '' I called after her and went back to work. 

Same day earlier 

Rosalie's POV

I don't know what's so special about this Isabella but I can't stand her anymore. For the past three weeks Alice has only been talking about her as if she were a goddess. She says they're going to be best friends and that she's the only one for Edward. 

I knew it was going to end badly for us and that girl shouldn't know what we are. Does anyone in this coven listen to what I have to say and that this is a bad idea of course not. Only Jasper and Emmett think the same and believe that this Isabella will bring nothing but trouble. 

From what I learned from Alex about her I knew I wanted to be as far away from Isabella as possible. Alex and I are very good friends and I know about her power along with the boys. I've known her for two years now and I'm glad we've become friends because she has also become a place of escape from our coven for me and Jasper and Emmett. 

Thanks to her shield power she managed to shield our minds from Edward forever. I don't know why we are still with them. We are planning to leave thema le we need a big reason and opportunity. 

I suspect that with Isabella I will get it. Isabella's first day at school arrived and Alice had been giving us a hard time about it since the morning. The first time I saw her she looked ordinary. I could immediately see from her act that she was shy and innocent. 

I could see that little smile and I hoped I wouldn't have a lesson with her.

Lunch time

Fortunately for me, I didn't have any lessons with her, but she was on every person's ears at school. On the one hand I was happy because people stopped looking at us as if we were animals in a zoo, but I don't want to hear about Isabella all day. 

We lined up in front of the dining room door to make that idiot entrance as Alice wants to every day it just draws everyone's attention to us. I don't know wog why we are doing this but even when I am a vampire I don't want the headache of thinking about it How happy I was when we discovered Alice is not Jasper mate. 

When it was finally time we all went in one by one. Me with Emett and poor Jasper with Alice and of course Edward alone. I heard Jesica and Angela tell Isabella about us and I could see that she was already curious about us. Luckily for us, Edward caught her attention. 

She pouts that he can't read her thoughts because of the expression on his face. He had the same expression on his face when he couldn't read Alexa's thoughts. 

He looked at us '' I can't read Isabella's thoughts. Are your powers working on her'' he asked in his ruling voice and Jasper panted. After a moment he nodded '' I can feel her emotions and change them,'' he said and Aliece said she could too. 

Luckily for us, Alex can hide from Alice and reject Jasper's manipulation of her emotions. I saw every now and then Edwar and Isabella exchange glances and I knew that trouble was approaching.

End of school

We waited for Edwaer at his car and he came out of the school as if something was chasing him. Jasoer grabbed my hand and his eyes went black. I knew Edward was hungry and Jasper could feel it. 

We quickly made our way to the car and headed home. Not as we arrived at the house Carlisle arrived '' Isabella Swan is my blood singer. I have to leave to control my hunger'' he said and Carlisle agreed without thinking. 

This infuriated me '' You can't. It will only bring problems. Make Isabella wonder about us. Kill her simply for that are Blood singer'' I said but it fell on deaf ears. Jasper and Emmett were that angry 

'' If she sticks out one finger and asks for the body of one of us Edward you won't have to worry about your desire for blood. If she finds out about us through you we won't help you if you are in trouble because of her. Isabella Swan is your Blood singer not your mate or true mate. When she discovers about our existence and what we are and the Volturi find out about it we will not help. We will not risk our lives for your Blood singer'' said a voice and by his accent I knew it was Major not Jasper. 

I saw that Edard, Esme, Alice and Carlise also noticed it and nodded their heads. I grabbed Emett and Jasper's hands to take them hunting and to warn Alex about what had happened. I knew it was going to be a really long few days
