Better Swan

Part 10

Two weeks later

Alex's POV

Let me make a confluence of events over the last two weeks. After Isabella's trip she returned to Forks with a damaged leg and is still in a hinge with Ednardo or Ednin I think it was Edward. I think it was Edward. 

Rosalie told me and my dad everything that had happened and why Isabella came back injured. I knew something like that could happen so I won't say I'm surprised. On the very bright side I've finished my third course of study and I've had enough for a while. 

Dad, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett came to my graduation and we went to a restaurant for lunch. I had three whirlwinds of blood in my purse so they would mix it with their food. 

I'm a millionaire then I don't have to worry about money too much. Over a year ago I decided to invest in a couple of businesses and enterprises and it's coming back to me on a good scale. I leave tomorrow morning for my holiday with Jasper and Rose and Emmett leave today. 

I am looking forward to it and I know I will have a very enjoyable time with Jasper. We have added in our plans for us to go to Greece in a fortnight' time and spend a week there together. After that we are thinking of going up to Los Angeles and spending a week there as well. 

So my three-week holiday plan became a month. Blue is coming on holiday with us. I have checked out everything where we can take the dogs and there are many interesting places to take them to. 

It just needs a month off from Isabella and her wishing to be changed. You've heard it so well since the Jamse event as Edward blew the venom Isabella is asking when she will be changed. I've always known she was afraid of getting older but this is quite an exaggeration and I had a feeling she wouldn't let go until she made it.

One month later

Just what she needed and I was right those three weeks were the best time since Isabella came to live with her dad. I sent Dad lots of photos and promised him when he got his holiday I would take him on holiday. 

To my misfortune Isabella found out about my holiday and sent me 10 to 15 or more messages every day what a bad sister I was for not taking her with me. Demon even dragged in Renee this  however when she called me the first time I immediately blocked her number. I wasn't the only one getting dozens of messages a day.

 Jasper along with Emmett and Rose get lots of messages from their stupid coven about where they are and what they are doing. Jasper has texted them that he is on holiday along with Rosa and Emmett but due to me shielding them with my shield Alice can't see their future and it's upsetting them. 

It really upsets Alice that they have no control over their behaviour. However, they have switched off their phones so Edward took my phone number from Isabella and together with Carlisle, Esme and Alice have been texting me. 

I say texted because when I got my first text and found out who I had blocked the numbers from. All was well until I was attacked by a vampire during our stay in Greece:

I was alone in the house because Rosa and the boys had gone hunting. I was sitting in the garden with Blue in our rented cottage. Suddenly I felt I wasn't alone and it put me on full alert. 

I felt something run past me and a bulge in my neck. I quickly used the wind to push the intruder away from me and saw it was a vampire. As fast as I could I gouged a fireball at it destroying it quickly and my legs gave out through the bullet inflicted by its venom. 

Not long after that Jasper, Rose and Emmett appeared beside me hearing me scream. The last thing I remember them saying was that everything was going to be okay.

It happened a week ago and I accepted that I was now a vampire. This vampire turned out to be a lonely nomad who thought I was easy prey. I was in transition for two days and they were the worst two days of my life. 

To our satisfaction, I retained my original eye and skin colour and we discovered what powers I had. I have a shield. telepathy, control over the elements, aura vision and human qualities. I am powerful and I am happy about that because I can protect my dad from all danger that Isabella may bring. 

I have proven to be calm for a Newborn Vampire and have no desire for blood. This was proven when I walked past an injured child and did not feel the urge to drink myself. I decided to go mixed and catch criminals and animals. 

I prefer criminals such as perverts, rapists, female boxers, murderers and the like. It was nearing time to go home and I knew as soon as my dad saw me he would know something had happened. Tomorrow would be the day to know if I was definitely in control and not my instincts

The next day

Since I'm a vampire I don't feel like sleeping I know I can but I prefer to lie in my bed and read something. From time to time I take a nap but only for an hour or two at most. I have decided to finally get off the bed and get ready to go to bed with my dad.

I had drunk blood earlier and I had eaten a muffin so I wasn't hungry. What we have discovered over this week that human food on full me like blood. I don't need to have blood like they do every two or three days. 

It's only after weeks that I start to crave it and I don't need much. Dad had a day off today and was out fishing with Billy and Hary so I decided to get them too on occasion. I went to where they always fish and felt something was wrong so I started running towards them. 

When I saw them I saw some vampire getting ready to jump on them and they saw him too. However, before he could touch any of them I knocked him into a tree and quickly tore his head off. Without waiting, I burned his body and turned my attention to the truculence of the older men. 

I rubbed the back of my neck nervously '' I can explain everything '' I said nerdily '' Please tell me who did this to my dove'' said Dad and Billy and Harry nodded their heads. I spent the next two hours telling what had happened over the last week. About my training with Rose, Emmett and Jasper and my powers. 

I told them about my diet and why I prefer to eat human blood rather than animal blood ''If you only eat bad people and it helps you control your powers I don't mind,'' Dad said hugging me and I hugged him back paying attention to my strength. 

Billy and Hary were quiet the whole time '' We have known you since you were a baby Alexa and we know you are a good person. We will arrange a treat with you with the rules of your living here. We won't forbid you to hunt provided you don't hunt in La Push or Fork territory. I would also recommend you to think about getting blood bags but if you do not succeed it is difficult. I'll let the boys know so they don't attack you by accident'' Billy said and I hugged him and Harry gently. 

I spent the rest of the day talking to him and reminiscing about the good times and when it was time to go home I went with my dad to make sure nothing happened to him.
